I find some students speak English so fluent and quite well pronnciation. But I think most of them hit the point that Taiwan's English education way is lack of " oral speaking and conversation " opportunity, so that many Taiwanese is afraid of speaking English when they meet foreigners. Oral speaking ability need to be " strengthened (加強)", so that English speaking abaility can improve a Big step, it's just my personal opinion., tks.
English should be the language used inside the classroom, especially for high school students, and whoever will not speak English should have punishments by deducting points. In some parts of the Philippines, we used this method. Because you can improve your English ability by speaking the language daily, practice more .
Then go to an English speaking country and just stay there, if you can't respect another country's local language, you don't have the right to be there
I hope they must speak or understand English because as a foreigner it's hard to communicate with the people in Taiwan specialy if you ask something, then they don't even understand or know how to speak..not like singapore.just saying
