the absolute legend at 23:30 who took off the jacket to participate
I am dead 😂😂😂 ending the video in the middle of James dramatic dawning of his sunnies like he's some kinda someone was unreal. A++ content I'm glad I stuck around until the end.
Glad you loved the dramatic finish. Thanks for tuning in until the end!
You guys are having the best time of your life. Keep on skiing, your adventure are not to be forgotten. Amazing...
You deserve all the subs my brotha! So much more fun to watch than other ski TH-cam channels.
Fernie's been ruff lately...Boy's just gotta keep their heads up, sticks on the ice, get those pucks deep and generate some chances. Quick shifts, keep 'em short and really grind out there. This is why we put on the jersey boys!!...Let's GO!!
@@riseandalpine Leaving it all out there, every shift. Night in, night out. Just goin' to war with the boys. Finally got back out to Kicking horse!! Ankle is finally well enough to ride easy, on. 5 cm over night was just nice. Had the place to ourselves all morning. Fresh tracks are still fresh tracks, even just keeping things lite, the views, and traverses there are mind blowing. Plan on getting back out to Fernie once, or twice before close. Really squeeze the last bit of value outta those RCR passes. How do you like the Unleashed btw? Santa brought wifekin Santa Ana 104 at Christmas, and she makes happy faces over them...
Fernie again. rip it up. I live in Colorado still haven't made it over the Border I got to go. You know you're legit when you get back up skis
While I'm down with a sick day, it's good to see your having a SICK day.
First time I hit Fernie we were driving up to the place we were staying about 5 minute walk from the hill, and the snow was coming over the top of the hood of the van. I was wrecked for life. Always chasing the pow
I was there one year in Feb , it snowed so hard that the bus we came in on was stuck there for 2 nights before the roads were clear enough for him to continue. Meanwhile on mountain we had 4 straight nights of 30+cm of fresh over night. Even the groomed greens were pow runs. Laid out some of the biggest airs of my life during that stretch since there was no fear of hard landings all deep pow. Did my 1st 60+ foot cliff drop as well. Never seen snow like that since. Fernie is my all time fave so much varying epic terrain. Even just cruising greens and blues for a day is awesome there. :)
Just another awesome trip I get to live through your videos. Thank you from South Eastern Ontario.
Upping your game with multi-angle shots of the couli!!!!! Great video man! 😊
Great video makes me want to get back to Fernie next season :), but you missed Fish bowl but thats good so you have something to look forward to next time⛷
When you hit it right conditions, Polar Peak is a dream! I managed to snag it in a season where it had only operated 2 weeks. As an aside, the lift is the former Gold triple from Nakiska.
I couldn't imagine how fun that chair is with fresh powder. Interesting that they took it from Nakiska. It looked and felt like a brand new lift.
Already back in fernie only a month later. Poler peak did not disappoint that's some truly gnarly stuff up there.
Fernie, rock on. So crispy. i might pass. I'd have trouble straight lining that too.
The spring skiing, roaching the 114s (bummer I feel like I might have jinxed you after asking about doing P tex repairs on the road. 😉), slugging the beer with Burn Ass, the doggles… James speaking!
I laughed. I cried. It became a part of me! Lol.
Now, off to Red Mountain!
Couldnt happier with the youtube algorithm suggesting your channel. Loved your days out in alberta, shame you didnt come back to nakiska the ladt few weeks, it got dumped on and was a freaking blast to ski, even the monster glades were unbelievable.
So happy you found my channel too. That sounds dreamy! I'll make sure to rip through Nakiska next time!
At least Fernie isn't avalanche prone...eh, fix your bases, eh bud!! Boys gotta keep their gear in top condish headed into the post season. We've worked this hard to get this far, we don't need to throw it all away on a lazy equipment malfunction. Give yer heads a shake out there boys!! Pull yer shit together, and let's come out strong in the 3rd, boys!! Give yerselves a chance!!
Snow Jesus with curly hair
Edit: Acapella group could be Jesus and the Apostles 😂
The end of lift experience starting at 9:26 is almost magical it's so good and lasts almost the whole run. Everyone's gotta try it once but I don't mix the sauce into the beer I chase the sauce with the beer. I love it though it's possible I may be just a smidge off kilter so your experience may vary lol. That boarder is getting springy and spicey with you boys just look at those mongo hop turns damn, rock on. Professional Announcer voice, "Everyone get ready and put your hands together for the smooth yet rocking sounds of the new and upcoming musical ski band called The Spicey Mountain Ski Boys featuring Adventure Rob and the Double J's." haha. Another awesome video and you boys are just ripping it everywhere you go and having a blast. That's how how you do it 🙂🎿
That snowboarder made my day. Must do a lot of box jumps in the gym. You think the Spicy Mountain Ski Boys have a shot at American Idol?
@@riseandalpine American Idol you say? James, you know me buddy so you know I cannot lie 😇. Rosie O'donnell might have a serious weight problem, I'm just saying! Haha. Are you kidding me? Everyone here knows the Spicey Mountain Ski Boys are way too good for American Idol c'mon now. Have you ever seen an American Idol acapella group hot dogging and ripping up mountain after beautiful mountain like adventure Rob and the double J's while also leading everyone on this years spring ski fashion trends? Hah! I don't think so! You boys are awesome and you spread awesomeness and good cheer, here's to keeping it spicey! Whooo, this batch is a little spicier than the last lol. Little secret I learned in the 80's. A disco music and style spring ski party pairs perfectly with full on spring skiing streams puddles bare grass patches and all. Craziest funniest spring I ever had in my life and the more people their are to participate the better. Btw Rob, the best coffee for me is 80% hot choc and 20% peppermint schnapps 🙃
How amazing. A mountain that doesn't require 30 seconds of traversing for five or six turns.
It ain't no Revelstoke. Straight fall line skiing (when you lap the chairs)
There are 2 good ski youtubers James (Rise & Alpine) and steepsteep WE NEED A COLAB
I'm 100% game for a collab with Nick. Would love to tour him around Whistler/Blackcomb's steepest runs!
I wish for your youth, leg strength and endurance plus that hair oh ya the hair .
Love the vlog.
Cheers
@@riseandalpine Now, if I could ski like Logan I would be a happy man.
When did you go to get the hill to yourself? Like day of the week! And what month? Even your sunshine day was an empty hill! I'm jealous and kinda angry right now! 😅
Was that a funky goat pizza pie? Griz bar is a good patio. Great spot.
@@riseandalpine Yes'sir. I like to consider myself somewhat of a gourmand, as well. I may have stopped in once, or twice, for a traveller...
Get yourself some moment countaches
The issue with your ski isn’t the core shot, it’s the edge that’s been pulled out!l. Look up by your thumb! That’s the damage that’s making the ski “unsafe”
Maybe the camera angle didn't capture it but the edge is still in believe it or not. I'll double check though.
Hi,
YOU ARE GOOD SKIING!!!!!
Can you tell me how many days you spend skiing during the season and how many pairs of skis you destroy in one winter?
Greetings from Poland .... George
Hey George, so cool you're tuning in from Poland! I ski close to 100 days per season and don't usually mess up about 3 different ski bases per year but 99% of the time I can fix the damage. I've only had to retire one ski in the last two seasons.
We requested him to come back to Polar Peak, not even a month later he does it. Best ski TH-camr man
I'm a man of my word 🤙
