    I subscribed to your channel because your videos are uplifting. Unlike some people who never see any good thing coming out of Nigeria, you are forward-thinking, very positive and it is obvious that you do your research. Some of these doomsday prophets forget that they are part of the reason why things are not working in the country. They spew rubbish online without any iota of commonsense. They forget that it is the bastard child that uses the left hand to point to his father's house. For me, I believe in Nigeria. It is such a great country with enormous potentials. With projects like the Siemens Power Deal, things are promising to look up for Nigeria. Naysayers, go and hug your fridge. NedMedia, keep up the positives. Best of luck to you and the giant of Africa. I Love Nigeria.

Also goverment signing papers, budgeting and borrowing money are all easy. However, Nigerians should start installing solar power system in their houses because that is the only thing that will solve electricity problem in Nigeria.

    It’s 2 years later now … where are these megawatts? 11 000 mw (If delivered one day) will not make much of a difference.
    South Africa, with a quarter of the Nigerian population cannot run on 60 000mw.
    To bring Nigeria into the modern age, it needs to produce well in excess of 100 000mw or like India, well over 400 000

    We're not yet satisfied until government involve multiple companies for example a company from Russia , China , Japan, Germany. I mean put them on race that's the game to get what need them to do as a good job for us Africa.. if you doing with one particular company they not get it done well on time. We should know that economy's will make Africa strong and less depend on western world so we gat to wake up.

THEY ARE TAKING IT BACK FROM YOUR ELECTRICITY BILLS WHEN THE PROJECT IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL. TRUST GERMANS. THEY DONT START AND NOT COMPLETE. Distribution is a problem in Nigeria. If you like produce a million Mva as long as the power generated do not get to the consumers and even when it does, a whole community or village with multiple story buildings will depend on one transformer and the breakers and fuses will be popping like popcorn and in some cases the transformers will be blown apart due to overload. Enough transformer is needed for steady supply.

    Make Africa proud Naija, get this done. Privatising key sectors is never a good idea- primarily benefits foreign MNCs & banks (which is why the western based IMF demands it), not local developing populations. Dont allow Siemens to overcharge you.

    • @NedMedia
      @NedMedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Privatization of the power company didn't add value to the economy, mostly because the people that bought the companies don't have the expertise. If they were sold to competent companies, it would have been a different story.

    • @WonderWoman-so4mk
      @WonderWoman-so4mk 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NedMedia Thx for replying. Ideally competent local companies can be developed by training more in the STEM fields. If privatisation continues, it should never be to foreign multinationals. Key sectors must remain protected & sovereign.

    • @NedMedia
      @NedMedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're welcome, you're right about the training. It should have been done before the privatization, otherwise we wouldn't add any value to the economy. Better off getting a foreign company that will add value. Thanks for your insights 😊

    Those lunatic legislators must pass a bill that would prevent and protect federal properties from the criminals . And something must be done about insecurity at the same time. Our youths must wake up from their weak spirits to take their country back, government can not do it alone, they rate of crimes are to high . Yes we can do something, we don't have to wait for government to help us, all what we need is revolution against bad people among us and government officials.
