I watched this a while ago. I noticed the young guy is doing all the fancy work with the 3 handed technique, while the other pianist respectfully plays much softer to not drown out the other player. Yet he still adds just enough to make it better. I’m sure he can play the melody very well, as he hit it for a. Few seconds
I only met Rod Miller once, but what was supposed to be a short stop for lunch at noon, ended up being an evening of sitting at Coke Corner watching him play. I'll never forget that day. I wish I would have kept in touch. I was just planning a trip back to the LA area and was hoping to catch him at Coke Corner again but I've heard he's retired.
This is amazing , and because this was in the 90s it's even better because todays stuff just doesn't cut it 90s or nothing. i hope to be that good with rag time , i've been playing piano and keyboard for 5 years now i don't read music so i play by ear and have gotten many nice comments on it so who know i may be in one of these videos eventually.
I wish there was sheet music for this especially the first song. The Mickey Mouse spelling song. It's short and sweet. Just wish there was sheet music available.
