hi this is just a quick ranking of my favorite kpop title track releases this year !!!
Reasons:
20. ACE are never not conceptually interesting. I feel like they always take their music to the next level with each comeback and they bring out a feeling of “new” within genres like EDM by mixing it with so many other elements. Also Chan.
19. This song is just fun and whacky. My most favorite parts that make the song for me are “ Don’t kill my vibe that’s a no no!” And “Take it to the right take it to the left”. They’re such basic sentences butI love how they’re performed lol.
18. They delivered the nostalgia so many craved. There has been an abyss of noting where cute and wacky concepts used to thrive. The kpop genre is over saturated with girl crush and cool concepts that this was a definite breath of fresh air.
17. Her voice is so beautiful and this songs instrumental is so so so so good. All these tiny elements and flairs make such a wonderful song.
16. I absolutely loathe this era of autotone BTS refuse to abandon, but I’ll forgive it this time around as it does feel conceptually important, like how the autotune in Billie Eilish’s When I Was Older was used to create the imagery of someone drowning. I just love this song. The melody feels haunting and the lyrics are so sad.
15. It’s just catchy and fun and I like catchy and fun.
14. Girl crush at its finest. They scream confidence.
13. The melody and dance make this song what it is. Weki Meki never disappoint with interesting.

8. This would have been the most generic song ever I think of any other concept or group for their hands on it. Like I said in the video, Nature did a phenomenal job of bringing a basic edm song to Life.

5. The song title speaks volumes. This is such a cute throwback sounding song, and the dance only serves to bring it to life and make it even more exciting. I love the second half when the chorus turns into a solo dance number. And all the levels man.

2. What a song. What a concept. To quote the song, oh my god. The imagery of sin and temptation marched with church bells in the song and these dramatic pauses and the visuals and the LESBIANS. Thank you.
1. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SONG IS PERFECTION. the scream right before the chorus hits and then the rap sections leave such an impact, nothing feels like a waste of space or like it’s a filler for the second chorus. The song progresses like a story and I love it. Starting with the protagonist begging someone to not hurt them and leave them in pain to turning into the villain themselves by the end, wanting to make others suffer in their wake. SO GOOD.
