Thank you so much for this video. I just got a job offer in Gillette and may be moving there next month. Your video was the first one I watched for researching living in WY. Very informative!!
A very informative video Sandi, and it's always important to remember to address for the location you're in. Someone down in South Florida would not need the extreme gear that we need in a more northern claimant. But I can imagine the winters in Wyoming are even more severe than the ones I experience here in Northwestern Massachusetts. Excellent video and topic and thanks for sharing.
Excellent advice my friend. I really enjoyed this video. That’s a great hat! Thanks for sharing this my friend. I need to get dressed up because it’s time for me to get firewood. Stay warm my friend. Rod
Your jacket looks like it has a gortex exterior that makes it water proof and wind proof and then a down jacket interior which further keeps it light but warm. I like down jackets but they can get soaked, thus the perfect gortex outer shell.
I live in upstate NY and winters are usually pretty harsh. Layers is key. I usually wear long johns or pajama bottoms on underneath my jeans. 2 pairs of socks and a few layers of shirts and a jacket.
Hello Sandi , nice Video, its beautiful outside with all the snow and i see you are really ready with your Outfit and looks good, thanks for sharing. Wish you all the best and have a nice day 💕🙂
Sandi what is the brand of your boots? They look very warm and hopefully enough grip on ice? Thats where I run into problems with boots. We seem to get a lot of chinooks which melts the snow and then it freezes back up in the cold again leaving behind a lot of ice. I certainly don’t want any broken bones.
Terri they are Santana, they make them in Italy. Style called Melita. Joe got them on line for me, one Christmas. I think they make them for a Canadian company. I think www.backcountry.com sells them.
@@suburbanhomesteaderwy-az thank you so much Sandi. I really appreciate you taking the time out of your busy days. I understand from most people who have vlogs that it takes a lot of time to do the editing, so many thank you’s. I hope your week is a great one and that the weather isn’t to bad. We had a bad snowstorm go through on the weekend with a few snowfalls falling close behind it. Lots of snow shoveling for sure. Have a great day!
SuburbanHomesteaderWY I’m not working at the moment... but we moved here for my husbands job at the hospital. Thanks for the boot tips! Any other tips, I’d be grateful! We went hiking for the first time yesterday on the Veedauwoo trails! It was stunning! I love to hike and explore!
My Sister used to live there. They loved it, small town, good schools. But a short growing season. She had a greenhouse for tomatoes and peppers, that need a longer season. I have been there few times and it is beautiful, close to the mountains. Snow and cold, yes but a beautiful place to live.

Hi Matt. I looked at the tag it says Accessories, made in Hecho en China. I think I bought it at a store in South Dakota one time. Sorry, I know that doesn't help much.
I want to move from Texas to somewhere in the central rockies, I am thinking Wyoming is where I want to go. My biggest fear is the winter! I've only seen snow a few times in my life!!!
I just moved to Laramie a week ago! Born n raised in Northern California.... my sister has lived in Michigan and she told me you just gotta be prepared. I don’t like cold weather.... but the people in Wyoming are so nice. I’ll learn to survive the winter and savor the summer ❤️
@@Cookingforacrowd wow that is brave for not liking cold! Just got back fr my trip. You're so right about the people. I'm definitely moving there! It's like what Texas used to be before the urbanization changed it.

Ha! Pittsburgh has twice as much snow. It’s colder in Wyoming but snow-wise forget it. Yinz guys had your worst winter in 50 years in 2016 and that’s about it. There’s nothing “hard” about living in the winter time in Wyoming. Yinz guys think ranch work is tough? Try working in a Steel Mill ya jagoffs.

Thanks Sandy. I just had a cousin move to Big Horn from NC - I think this will help her!
I hope so Allan. Layers are the key to keep warm here.

Very good advice “layers”. That is so important. Really nice video. Take Care and Keep Exploring The Outdoors.
The snow stopped for a little while but now it's back with a vengeance. lol
Thank you. I just got a job offer in Sheridan and this is one of my concerns. I will be relocating from NC.
Sheridan is a great place to live. My sister and family live there.
Thanks for the recommendation on the boots. Love that they have a zipper! Most high quality are pull-on only.
Thanks for watching. Keep warm.
Thank you for the input. Looking at moving to Wyoming from northern Minnesota. Looking for less extreme winters. But still enjoying the cold and snow.

I have a special hoodie I wear and it keeps me warm down into the 20s here in WV. I’m cold natured anyway lol

Good advice, I think the conditions are pretty similar to where I was in Afghanistan.
