The Hail to De La Salle Alma Mater Song was composed and initially sang in a Lasallian school in America. It was 2 American, De La Salle Christian Brothers - Br. Malachy and Br. Richards FSC who composed our iconic battle song. The song is also sung in several Lasallian schools worldwide.
The Alma Mater song was initially sung with a defiant raised fist by the De La Salle cheerleaders after the final buzzer of the only winless NCAA basketball season in the Green Archer sports history.

There's someone who's willing to give me a scholarship at De La Salle University. We're not poor, but we're also not rich. I'm afraid that I can't easily cope up with the students there knowing that most of them came from a rich family. Please give me some advice to push myself to study there. Gusto ko sana mag-aral diyan kaso parang mahirap makipagsabayan sa lifestyle ng mga estudyante :(

Kahit saang university you will experience challenges and have to learn to adjust. True, maraming Inglisero pero hindi lahat Inglisero. You will be surprised that even if they are from well-off background, marunong silang makisama.I thought ang mga classmates ko back then were hatid-sundo, but they do ride the LRT, jeep, and other public transportation. Yung convenience siguro when you go to DLSU, all classrooms have AC. Aminin niyo mainit sa Pinas. So this is a plus. The facilities are good (library, conference rooms, sports complex etc). Enrollment process is easier compared to what I’ve heard from other universities. It is trimestral so ang downside, short vacation. DLSU believes in balance of everything (most universities naman), so maraming orgs na pwede salihan. When I was studying there, there was a university break every Wednesday meaning from 12:30pm to 2:30pm, dapat walang class going on. Dun maraming events like bazaar, pep rallies, mini concerts, intercollege sports competitions etc. now yata every Friday na. So don’t think about you may not fit in. 20 or 25% of the populationare scholars. So wag isipin na rich kids lahat. Far from reality pero totoo na merong rich talaga. 😊
To add pala, walang uniform pero
may dress code. During my time there bawal ang super igsing shorts and no slippers. DLSU allows students to express individuality pero dapat you still uphold a certain decorum. A plain shirt with jeans or shorts will do. Wag lang pajamas. 😆

Don’t go for the name of the school. Rather go for their course offering in which they excell. Architecture and Medicine is best in UST. If u want to be in the broadcast or media (or liberal arts courses) go for UP. If u want business related and advertising, go for La Salle. If u want a mixed of DLSU and UP, go to Ateneo. If u want engg, go for Mapua. For dentistry, go for UE. FEU for medical related courses. But if ur considering ur family’s financial capabilities, then UP is the best option (or PLM).

I almost got kicked out from this school. Good thing we had an immortal status, don't know if they still use that today though. So basically what immortal status meant was if you completed a certain amount of units, the school can't kick you out anymore even if you fail a bunch of times.

De La salle university, this school was one of my "why ifs" aside from Miriam college. I chose UST kasi, while I didn't make it in Ateneo and UP.
I didn't choose DLSU kasi I know wala daw summer break because they are tri-sem 😂. Anyway, it's all in the past already. It has been more than a decade since I've graduated college.

I remember being thr 1st batch to use the Br Andrew hall, they haven't figured out how control elevator traffic back then, we were climbing the stairs up to the 14th floor for class.
