      yes cross keys my mam was bar maid there long time ago and am sure james buchanan mam was to think she was called winny live same street as us old seymore street cattricks hardwear store was bottom street

      holy shit yeah remember cattericks hardware store now just on the corner at the bottom of street man I bought something for my mum in there in 1978 lmao wonder when it closed ?
      Not been back to Dunston since 1982 , but when I was a kid it was a happy place to live with loads of good mates

    man that pub has been there forever I remember when my mum used to drink there in the early 1970 s an old style pub then it was taken over by some londoners in the mid to late 70s with a son called Danny ? I think in maybe 78 or 79 ..was never a classy bar but definately a landmark in Dunston ...will be demolished now looking at the state of it and another part of dunston history will disappear.

    Oh no. The Cross Keys has fallen. As did other nearby landmarks in tight time. The rocket. Tower Court. Greggs. Bobs paper shop. Jimmys Chippy.
    Sad.
