It seems like a very pleasant massage for the dog, and at least it can't hurt! It's a nice moment to spend with my dog, so I'll sure try it out...

A quick google led me to a page telling me this: "It was also in 1982 that Linda Tellington-Jones received a transmission from a thousand-year old Morton Bay fig tree in Coffs Harbor, Australia - the same tree that was quoted as a source of the wisdom in Michael Road’s ground-breaking book Talking With Nature."
Hm, what to do? Talk to trees, spend £2,000 on a course, or pet my dog the way she likes it?

There is not a TTouch procedure to stop indoor urinating as such, but there maybe a procedure to help with the cause, depending on what the cause is. If it is just from lack of persistant training then no. If it is from fear or anxiety there are procedures to help. Some TTouch practitioners do a quick one day course with owners, but you will not be legally allowed to use these techniques on other people's animals since full practitioners do an intense course on the biology of the animal, and the

I was going along with it until they mentioned 'life-force', 'bio-feedback' and 'brain-wave studies in the 80s'.

You do not believe in life force? in brain-wave?

To do TTouches, one must start slowly, because many of the touches require your dog's trust and respect to begin. I do these with my horse as well and when we began, the neck release took a while for her to understand that she needed to stand while I pulled from beneath her chin. Now, when I put my hands under the chin, she practically does it herself. My dogs were very high-strung puppies when I began with them and all I did was exercise them A LOT so they were already tired when I began.

    2) psychology behind it. They also need to learn the pressure points in a dogs body and what touch where will help what problem. There is also a lot of behavioural practical training done with the dogs or horses. So by law you would only be allowed to practise what you have learned on your own pet.

Ps, I am not a TTouch practitioner, I have walked dogs for 13 years and obedience trained dogs for 4 years. I qualified in Animal care and animal first aid and have been treating my dogs medical conditions holistically, which works far better than pharmaceutically... with the guideance of a fab holistic vet, of course.

It doesn't cost me anything to use common sense and keep my dog from overheating. Most anxiety and fear is caused by the owner. Oh, and a lot is two words.

Can this work on aggressive, highly strung dogs for whom lying down is something they'd only do when asleep? How big a result could an owner doing this for themselves achieve? Said dog will not let anyone else near.

Right, really? So this is a load of shit? The course for this in the UK is £2,000. It is intense and you have to learn alot of biology about dogs, cats and horses. You need to learn about their pulse rate, which part of their body will help what. Things like there is a pressure point in a certain place of the ear that will cool an overheated dog. Something I could have done with the knowledge of when my dog over heated and it caused a seizure! A good massage from a preofessional causes us to
