Basically he says to forget your failures and don't listen to people who try to hold you back, just never mind all that and keep moving forward. Jimin has 5 or 6 tattoos, and Jungkook' has like 25. As far as I know, the other members only have the "7" tattoo. Tattoos are viewed as distasteful in Korean culture, and since it's a very conformist society, doing anything that goes against the cultural norms is a big deal. BTS has always promoted individualism, and, from my personal but limited observations, it seems like younger generations are becoming a bit more individualistic. I hope I don't sound like I'm being judgmental. I think in the US we have a lot more conformity than people realize, but the difference is that we have the freedom to seek freedom, and that's something that's universally celebrated here, no matter which side of the fight you're on.

These artists are humans with emotions and interests. They deserve to be treated as such. Also yes korean society is learning to be more accepting especially the younger generations. Whenever you get around to watching Jungkook's solo "Standing Next To You" you will see his tattoos on full display. The other members have them out of sight. You can also google them if you're interested. Up til now, Jimin has been the only other one to get tattoos that we know of. The exception is the "7" that everyone has (which some people have put together to form the letters "BTS", but I'm not sure if that was intentional or not.)
All their 7 tattoos form/spell out BTS when put together. The picture you're probably talking about is from their tattooist Polyc (thats how it's spelled if im not misremembering). He designed it with the members to make up BTS if all the 7 tattoos are put together which is just a cool added detail. So yes, it is intentional. Poluc, the tattooist, also said (im paraphrasing) he won't be doing the same tattoo designs he did for BTS on other people + he said how great the guys are and how honored he is that they trusted him with their tattoos (which is amazing especially when some of the members said in the past they didn't want to/weren't sure they would get a tattoo ever lol) And if im not wrong Polyc also did some/a lot of Jimin and JKs tattoos aside from the 7s they all got

As for when they're performing I can see what you're saying, but still he's out there by himself 80% of the track with hopejoon joining in at the end of it and the other members come on the stage so they transition to the next song (back when they performed it in group concert so like 2016ish). Yoongi performed this song solo near the end of D-Day tour. She eventually he finally got surgery on his shoulder in 2020 but he endured the pain what does out treatment for years!. It's really insane what he's been through and what he still going to
