@@VeganV5912 Actually, many animals _do_ use things to scrape or pick their teeth, especially monkeys and apes, while others (rodents and rabbits) just have teeth that naturally keep growing. Most animals (especially land carnivores) end up with horrible gum disease, and lose their teeth much earlier in the wild than in captivity, which causes them to die earlier, either from starvation, or from sepsis. I consider tooth care as one would wound care. Most animals don't wash wounds with soap, and sew closed gaping cuts. That often kills them, as it did us, before we understood why these things matter. And they don't tend to bathe often, and never use antiperspirant deodorants. That animals don't do something hygienic isn't a strong recommendation for me. That said, I usually brush without toothpaste, not for any reasons other than it makes food and drink taste nasty for half an hour afterward, and toothpaste is expensive.
I'm 54, was lacto-ovo for almost 30 years, Vegan for about 3.5 now, and aside from being a victim of Medicaid fraud at 15 (11 unnecessary fillings in one sitting), losing a molar to a wisdom tooth impaction at 28, and a chip in an incisor from biting a fork, I have all of my own teeth, and they're fine. I brush 3 to 4 times a week, especially before going out in public, and genetically, I have very strong enamel. Be well.

I know this video came out awhile ago, but I had to comment on the whole fluoride deal. I’m lucky enough to be a patient of, IMO, the best dentist in the country. Seriously. He’s so good that he has patients from all over the country (for non-local patients, he advises them to also have a local dentist for emergencies). People will literally take a plane to see him.
He doesn’t generally recommend fluoride, but does specifically for some patients, based on their diets, oral health habits, and (most importantly) the state of their oral health when he sees them. I’ve been seeing him since childhood, and he has never recommended that I use fluoride toothpaste. For most of my life, I haven’t. A good portion of my years, I’ve drunk water with the fluoride filtered out, so the only fluoride I’ve had has been through tea (which I drink most days). In spite of this lack of fluoride, it was thirty years before I had my first cavity. Ever. This included a history of Bulimia Nervosa, which meant a lot of stomach acid on my teeth for a couple of years. In spite of that, my teeth and enamel remained healthy. Over the course of a few years, part of one of my teeth which was starting to decay actually remineralised.
The point is, fluoride can do some good, but it isn’t harmless and it isn’t necessary for everyone. As my dentist puts it, the mouth is like a garden. If the garden is in balance with the right plants, fungi, and animals, weeds will be kept at bay and the garden will thrive. If the garden is out of balance (i.e. bad bacteria have taken over the mouth), the weeds will overrun and destroy the garden. In the latter case, fluoride can help; but with a well kept garden, that might never become necessary.

Luv most of your videos- not this one tho - you are waaaaay off on Fluoride and need to read Gary Null's paper on Fluoride. Fluoride is a toxic byproduct of the aluminum industry.
Also, keep in mind that communities get "awards" (financials) from the state for switching to fluoridating water. In addition, naturally occurring fluoride in the ground (fluorine) is chemically different than the type used in toothpaste. oh
Check out the CDC training course on fluoride to learn how dangerous is is handling fluoride when using for treating water.
Yeah, dental health is connected to cardiovascular, but fluoride is not the ticket out of worry.
As far as the connection to pineal gland calcification, I feel it could be a catalyst in combination with some other poor choices but nothing conclusive.

I find this whole idea interesting especially because my daughter was thought to possible have giantism due to high IGF-1 And IGF-BP3 levels off the chart. She was was only two at the time and now 5. The doctors said they would need to do an hour long MRI of her pituitary gland to verify there were no tumors, there was definitely some calification there and the doctors said it was normal, It makes me wonder if at birth if there is also some calification on the pineal gland too. All medical articles say that after the age of 30 everyone's pineal is calcified. If the above is the case then that must mean in gestation the calification starts from the beginning of life and not just from floride and other environmental effects.

Fluoride is passed to the growing fetus through umbilical as well as through skin, (sorry, I think in pictures) so the child would be getting it while in the womb.
Could it be that's why the calcification of the pineal gland starts there?

Mic, I love you, but you should know better. First off, a chemical or mineral founds in nature in its natural form, bound to other substances, is not the same as an isolated chemical or mineral and its effect on the body differs in many cases. Secondly, many studies have shown that the benefits of fluoride on dental cavities is minimal, and only in young children because their enamel is softer. There is no benefit whatsoever to adults. That being said, it's the same one size fits all strategy that the pharma industry applies, because it's profitable, and nevermind that it's harming more people than its benefiting.

On that little dig about animal fats and risk of heart disease in diets, I'd like to point out a flaw especially in the graph at 12:25. Each of those diets includes vegetables - allow me to explain why this is bad. Indigestion always helps to wreck the gut and what wrecks the gut creates increase in autoimmune and heart disease. Anything that inflames us helps cause these diseases.
Dairy is usually A1 mutated protein milk with lactose, so there's problem 1 right there, but even having milk with plants, meats, and sour fruits causes indigestion as milk is digested with a lower pH acid or else it will curdle and ruin the meal, hence inflammation, hence disease. Eggs too can cause sensitivities and bloating (inflammation!) especially when they're not free range, but yall are probably also having milk with your eggs!
Fish eaters - are they also consuming dairy and eggs? Then the above applies to this. Also most fish is farmed and salmon is among the worst. Tuna is among the worst wild caught fish. Go for sardines or better yet King Oscar sardines that are the smallest species (bristling sardines) and are caught in cleaner waters than most other brands. FYI, farmed fish is MUCH worse for you than factory farmed animals!
Semi-veg people have the problems I listed above. I may as well add if you aren't eating your own grown fruit, you're probably getting tons of "glysophate" or RoundUp, especially if you're eating cereals and most oats and grains.
Add in meat and we have the worst. Seems obvious but what are fried foods fried in? Seed oil. Why are fried foods so bad for us if it's using veggie oil? I will surprise you all and claim fried food isn't bad for you, food fried in seed oils are bad for you and the BIGGEST source of artificial trans fats. Seed oils are found in nearly all shelf products which is why IMO obesity rose like crazy once we stopped using butter and lard for harmful seed oils. Add in that people are eating meat and veggies with seed oils and sugars and gluten with artificial flavorings and preservatives, nutrients zapped and added back in less bio-available forms, while mixing juice, milks, and ending with a nice fat desert... oh and chips afterwards! Maybe it's just the meat??? I mean look at the graph...
I have starting gaining strength from my lifting again and stopped getting as achy joints. I have tons of energy and no pimples or oily skin problems. My poop rarely stinks and is often needs only 1 wipe (tmi?). My weekly migraines have stopped entirely (I even get stress headaches if I have little water or I bang my head but they go right away!) for over 6 months. For my diet, I avoid artificial flavors, colors, sodium nitrite in meats, maltodextrin (the worst glycemically), MSG, and... ALL seed oils, non-cold pressed oils, uncooked veggies, most grains, and most nuts and legumes. My new diet involves nearly entirely animal-based fat and about 5 percent from cold pressed olive or coconut oil. I eat fruit pretty much weekly and by itself (not with a meal) and have milk/yogurt/ice cream (with ALLULOSE sweetener baby!) by itself. I'm 90% or more carnivore.
I commented alread on teeth restoration as I did original come here for that ;)

The pathogens associated with periodontal disease can prevent atrial damage from healing. Gum disease and caries are two seperate problems. Perio pathogens are *causal, not associated with heart attach and stroke, etc. Caries bacteria and perio bacteria are different types of bacteria. Fluoride isn't going eliminate biofilm, (or reduce gum inflammation, maybe on a very minimal level but not by much), you can have someone with no cavities that has severe gum disease. the deeper the gum pocket the more pathogenic the bacteria (because there is less oxygen). Know your gum measurements.
Fluoride binds to naturally occuring nano hydroxyapatite, which strengthens a weakened bond that has been erroded by acids produced by bacteria.
High-risk periodontal pathogens: Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans (Aa), Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg), Tannerella forsythia (Tf), Treponema denticola (Td) and Fusobacterium nucleatum (Fn). These are the ones that harm the heart.
Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacillus species are the bacteria that cause caries/ cavities.

You contradict yourself several times. You speak in absolutes like your opinion should settle the discussion, but you have several flaws.
You admitted that older people have lower rates of calcification. Pretending like an entire decade of people just randomly didn't have the phenomenon.
You also point out that when exposed to calcium from teeth, to activate the calcification. So the calcification has to happen before it gets to the gland. And you're ignoring that all the fluoride deposited ONTO the teeth will calcify, and may not always stay. We're literally trying to replace "missing" enamel. You're ignoring those loose calcium deposits.
Not to mention that calcium as a vitamin is HIGHLY encouraged in all ages. Brush your teeth in the morning, all the fluoride that stuck around will introduced directly to milk for a lot of people. Calcium added even.
You cite a map for fluoride levels across the world, and the. Wait till the end of the video to mention that the map isnt accurate?
You also mention that some areas naturally have high levels of fluoride, and some have extremely low levels. And the. You ignore that and try and average out across everything.
The blood brain "barriers" that talking about, is the discussion if the gland ALSO had that barrier. The issue was ignored through all of the 80s and 90s because they thought the calcium couldn't cross the blood brain barrier. But there was research done showing that the plaques from teeth can cross the blood barrier through the gums.
You try to skirt around all the actual information and blow it off. This is poorly discussed and people should think twice about this mans advice.
If there was no Alzheimer's before we added fluoride to water, and then there was, and Alzheimer's comes from calcification in the brain. And they don't know where this plaque is coming from... Using ackoms razor, makes it seem a little obvious.

After getting to the mid of your video, you don't seem to realize the interaction between calcium and fluoride. It is chemistry, fluoride hardens the calcium, fluoride transmission into cell walls is up to 80x higher in an acidic environment so acidic diets are increasing the prevalence of calcium to build up and harden in the body. Bones, arteries, connective tissues and muscles but also glans and the brain. The fluoride binds to the calcium and hardens the structures over time, the effects on the brain is a less plastic brain that is more ridged in it's thinking and learning abilities. The interactions and circumstances that bring about the prevalent at risk groups are quite vast and too much to add to this comment section but include and not limited to hotter climate areas with workers outdoors needing to drink more water to re hydrate also during hard laborious work the lactic acid build up in the body increases fluoride uptake 80 fold. Included in acidic diets is alcohol consumption (80x more) and tea drinkers being one of the routine fluoride contamination points. This is a vast issue that has been strategically placed onto the vast population with great tactical execution. I have been in contact with water departments and health departments of which are all clueless to why or how this was all orchestrated. With most people mindlessly going about their lives, this was an easy attack on the world that is still vastly unnoticed

Avoid toothpaste, tap water, and brands of bottled water that contain flouride. I brush my teeth with a pinch of salt and a wet tooth brush, or I just swoosh around salt water. Unfortunately for vegans they eat acidic foods and sugar which destroy the enamel and flouride is the only way to protect the teeth. But if you eat a low carb carnivore diet you only need to use salt water because our enamel doesnt get eaten. The saliva has the propor ratio of minerals to remineralize the teeth and the salt will just prevent any unwanted bacteria

Fluoride cannot "prevent"plaque - Plaque is a bacterial infection. Fluoride helps speed the mineralization of a forming cavity (not real prevention). The regular use of small amounts of xylitol WILL gradually eliminate the build up of plaque on teeth and it does this by feeding the good mouth bacteria and starving "plaque bacteria" of their energy source. Your theory makes a lot of sense -- that it's the standard western diet with a lot of animal fat that is causing calcification and fluoride just attaches to the calcium. Fluoride probably does help prevent cavities, but there's no need to add it to the water supply and force people to drink it since it can work topically on teeth and doesn't need to be taken in systemically. It's also not necessary in order to have healthy teeth. I use Uncle Harry's clay toothpaste which has no fluoride and my teeth have gotten stronger, less sensitive, my gum disease went away and my teeth cleanings at the dentist have become very quick.

    • @gardenofeels6872

Yes you can. I am 53 and just in the past year it went away when I have had it since childhood from eating fruit flavored toothpaste as a kid. I'm not sure why. Maybe from taking vitamin K2 for years because I have gone back and forth with using fluoridated and non-fluoridated toothpaste as I am not sure who too believe on it's safety. Have also been taking silica (via horsetail or bamboo extract capsules) since the body can convert it to calcium as needed. Also started "mewing" as I read mouthbreathing can cause the streaks on teeth too. In case you are curious on my current toothpaste since the fluorosis disappeared I have been using Colgate original and the herbal from Amazon that comes from other countries. I occasionally swish with xyitol after seeing a video from a hygienist that said it could heal minor cavities.

  • @matttomczak9442
    @matttomczak9442 2 ปีที่แล้ว +75

Hey Mike, you covered basically everything there is to cover with one exception. Fluoride is anti-microbial, right? Therefore I think the biggest case for removing it from daily use is a) it wreaks havoc to the gut microbiome, if drank in water, and b) it wreaks havoc to your mouth microbiome, when used in toothpaste during teeth and tongue brushing, which then leads to decreased nitric oxide production, since it’s our bacteria in the mouth that starts the conversion process. This is also why Dr. Esselstyn strongly advises against fluoride toothpastes. Nano-hydroxyapatite (available in Bite toothpaste) could be a safer alternative providing the same benefits for teeth health, without disrupting and killing off the good guys in our mouths. Thoughts?

Diabetics like type 1 can't be vegans, so the results showing less diabetes in those groups means that less diabetics are part of them not that Veganism helped reduce diabetes. Type 1 diabetes means you've got an organ that stopped making insulin. The amount, quality and cost of strict veg and fruit diet you'd need to supply a Type 1 diabetic lifestyle is difficult to use. Best to lower carbs, sugars and natural sugars like Fructose found in Veg and fruit in the diet and increase the protein.

Most of all be careful to floss and brush and rinse your mouth after eating dried fruit (or avoid dried fruit) and after consuming vinegars. My dental health has been severely affected by this!!!

The study around 13:00, interesting that flouride exposure was associated with getting less sleep. And around 14:30, the link with sleep apnea in adolescence.

Nobody is saying that omnivore diet is good, it’s definitely bas because you still eating carbs, we all should go carnivore and eat pure meat like we use to before agricultural evolution, remember only meat=no cavities, no high triglycerides, no high blood pressure, no high blood sugar, what you want more, right?

Look at previous comment. Look into borax/boron. This guy must be paid off by those finding flouridating us. Missing some other important things that of course they aren't telling us.

    "Fluoride"... "calcify"... "pineal gland". WOW.
I guess it's true what they say about the state of education in America.
The short answer to your question is "no" and it's embarrassing to the rest of America that you felt compelled to ask it.
But I"m sure you can fix the problem by listening to one of those magical healing frequency videos, no worries!
