It's awful isn't it annoys me starting it off everybsingle time like 'but you have to hand everything over to one of your mothers' for the bride and groom to act shocked like say they don't know the principle of the show when they apply to be on it!
This is the third episode I'm watching and I have no idea why, the show is a complete shitshow that I've come to the conclusion absolute idiots apply for 😂

People talk a lot about this show being possibly scripted. Yes, it absolutely is. I worked in reality televsion and it is scripted. Maybe not word for word but situations are scripted.

This Hawaiian wedding was beautiful and very well planned.
The dress the bride wore was totally different to the one chosen by her mother earlier. Am guessing that the brides are shown their dresses in advance and if they absolutely hate it and are unwilling to carry on without a dress of their choice, it is done, under the guise of "the mother made a small change in the dress". Yes of course, largely the outlines of each episode seem to be roughly pre-planned, sort-of rehearsed & the broad strokes scripted, but certain smaller portions would be unscripted to get the genuine reactions so that the show doesn't look totally fake.

The groom like his mother refusing to do his only part, wearing a Hawaiian shirt. So instead he takes a dress shirt and I guess sleeps in it for a week to make sure it is just one big wrinkle!
I hate a Hawaiian wedding when it's not in Hawaii. She's not even Hawaiian. And didn't consider the weather.

MY EXACT WORDS! Polynesian is a lovely term. We LOVE the Polynesian cultures in our family. Our Dad lived in Hawaii, Tonga, and Samoa before and just after the start of WWII. He taught us the music, the dances, and some of the language. We have Samoan in-laws, grandchildren, and now more adopted children from these cultures. I am forever grateful for our parents teaching us to love everyone from all cultures.

Groom's mom called Romanians gipsies. She is not that well informed. Gipsies are migratory people originating from south India- their language, traditions and everything is extremely different from the Romanians. I believe Scotland has its gipsies as well, let's not insult them calling them Scots gipsies just because some Roma people as they like to call themselves decided to settle there!

I don't think the show does pay for it. In another episode the bride and groom freak out a little over the mom's overspending and the wedding planner has to step in to find some money saving ways not to spend all the couple's money since they wanted to buy a house after the wedding. The venue check also bounced and they had to get the assistant mom to loan them 5k to cover the venue the day of the wedding.

The brides mother want a Hawaiian theme wedding so why is she wearing a brown dress and not a brightly colored floral dress or mumu?? "Hawaiian" dancers LOL NOT and where is this wedding, what country? Even with a week to plan, a real live flower lei for the bride, and the traditional ti leaf lei for the groom could have been ordered and shipped.
