I'd definitely recommend either Foetracer or Frostees for exotics looking at your playstyle. Foetracer gives a ton of AE so you can do more aerial shotgun shots. With Frostees, Spark of Focus and Lethal Current you can just dodge before a fight, have a little speed boost, and have much better melees that will get you Amplified more easily and you'll almost always have your dodge ready when you need it.
I took a long break from the game but have been back grinding trying to get frames etc for like the past 2-3 weeks. I’ve been using liars handshake and it wasn’t until today I saw a hunter blink and was like wait wtf. Had no clue it was back
That sounds like a fun time! I will definitely be trying a lot of fun combos on blink hunter and warlock. I am just putting my focus on blink hunter right now since it's all so new and I want to get as good as I can with it!
Warlocks used to have higher lunge distance but they made all melees have the same lunge when they made them all have the same attack speed. Warlocks used to punch farther but slower and it would constantly cost them melee fights so they evened it all up.
Our old Fighting lion argument aside have you played astrocyte? It feels very very bugged right now essentially like new and old blink are trying to work at the same time or just the cooldown being straight up doubled when you use that third blink along with the typical slide glitch. But base blink I think is infinitely better than it ever has been and I'm very excited to be more capable of using other exotics with blink personally
I have not touched my blink warlock at all since the new season started. I am taking time to really learn blink hunter as best as I can before I return to warlock. Base blink is pretty awesome now and it feels great to be able to play without astro.
All blink distances are the same unless you astrocyte which will make a blink go farther. And just to clear up the end of the other comment mobility does not effect blink distance, it's a set distance that will not change.

I dont think blink on hunter covers as much distance, does it?
its the same for both, although an astrocyte warlock will get more distance, mobility stat will affect distance too

Definitely astro, it really can't be matched with all the benefits it gives. But blink hunter is still a great way to play!
