Tricky job....what about removing the spindles? Sometimes the spacers come out ok using a sharp chisel to ease out....although could create more work depending how it goes. Nice work as always 👍

Thanks, yes would be an idea, unfortunately, it's the only thing not getting painted. If I damaged something.

Do you mix your paste to the same consistency for every type of wallpaper ? Thanks.

No, it does depend on what type of paper your using, like thick embossed papers I would mix thicker and apply loads. Thin papers not as thick and apply like normal. But it can depend on the surface as well and how much paste will be absorbed into the wall. Heavyweight vinyl and some other papers your better using a strong ready mixed paste.

godamn those spindles man ! I just had to remove all my old ones n get new ones that were slightly too big, chiseling out the excess on every spindles top and bottom was an absolute nightmare as all my old ones were different sizes aaaargh honestly you see some proper bad work once you start digging, nice job there :)

No, the wall was sealed with spray or something so did the preparation then two coats of emulsion.

Very talented. Thank you for sharing. Your walls are in better shape than ours and ours are not that old. Brilliant. Blessings
