I love Steve Stevens. He is cool, humble and a fantastic guitar player. I've noticed he always mentions Steve Howe ( phenomenal guitarist ) as an Influence
Thanks for posting this, I have to say no rock guitarist has knocked me out like SS. Pure creative genius. The eclecticism and sensibility of Hackett, and he can shred, but so tasteful, so original, and what tone. Creating the parts on White Wedding alone, is a musical achievement that most players will never achieve.
Awesome lessons from a total Rock Guru!!! I am just learning guitar at a later age in life but I have always loved Steven playing on Billy Idol's CDs!!! His playing always brought so much joy to my soul as I exercised to his incredible sounds!!!
He's got the horse in front of the cart for sure.....tone is king, tone will always be the king allowing the player to get out of the cage....superb player with even better ears firstly.
What Times Your Next Tutorial. I'll Do My Best To Get There On Time Flying In From The U.K.. What A Monumental Masterclass From An Absolutely Brilliant Artist. Cheers Mr Stevens For The Brilliant Classics You Have Given Us All To Enjoy.
Great guitar player. I've been playing since '78. I love and use the same tone he does. Overdriven, yet it's not like all the notes went through a blender.
A.Zepp26 that’s exactly what I’ve said for years, too. Close your eyes and picture what you think a great Marshall sounds like. That’s what a Friedman sounds like. The Marshall...not so much 😂
I knew steve's parents when they lived in florida.Idid there windows for them being in the business. They had gold albums on the wall by Billy Idol. They told me there son was Steve Stevens.I could not believe it.
When I hear his tone, then look at his amp to me it's not matching up. He's really pushing those mids on the amp but I'm hearing a somewhat mid scooped sound. I also expected his treble and presence knobs to be way higher than they were. I guess it's just the way the amp is voiced.
i agree completely thats what surprised me so much the first time i saw his rig rundown, his tone's very full and defined so i expected relatively high bass and high treble with scooped mids but to my surprise his mids were all the way up to 8. I've barely played with high mids before it just sounds a bit too nasally sometimes, but i guess it could be the amp and seeing this now im kind of tempted to mess around with high mids settings to see how i can get a good tone out of it
"Fingers" plays the corporate marketed Saul Hudson off a short break - like Tracii Guns Stevens is mind blowingly versatile and brilliant. That KNAGGS guitar is worth at least $7,000.
I love Steve Stevens. He is cool, humble and a fantastic guitar player. I've noticed he always mentions Steve Howe ( phenomenal guitarist ) as an Influence
Stevens is a very smart guitarist and knows what he is talking about.
Possibly the finest tone around. Also, much better technique and creativity than many realize.
Ron Zabrocki very underrated player IMO
One of the greatest musicians to ever walk this earth!
best tone in the business
I've never heard a clean sound quite like Steve's, the presence is something else.
Flash Grover Yes. His tone is presisely the one that I hear in my head. Hope to have his amp some day...
Flash Grover--Very affects Based but I agree
He could string shoelaces to a guitar and it would sound phenomenal! Absolutely one of the best guitarist ever. Completely underrated.

Love this guy, so humble could watch him all day
I watch this every few months because it about the best guitar sound I’ve ever heard.
A Master of the guitar, & a nice guy too.
thank you steve, it is so great that you share with us who love your music and talent.
When most guitarists are interviewed they don't really have their guitar turned up.. This one just punches you in the face. I love it.

this might be the best sounding demo of the SS100 i've heard, it sounds magnificent
Holy shit.
That Hendrix sound ~ He's got it down to an art. Plus the style he conveys is dead on the money!!! Love you Steve !!! Great musician.
This guys tone is amazing
Guy has his own sound, plays amazing original music then rips YES and Hendrix like he's been there.. Fantastic and humble
Stevens is such a badass‼️ great tone, technique and style. Seems like a super nice guy as well.
He's got the horse in front of the cart for sure.....tone is king, tone will always be the king allowing the player to get out of the cage....superb player with even better ears firstly.
So cool to hear the Heart of the Sunrise riff played by Steve!

Yep, Steve has a badass tone!!!!!
My favorite guitarist .
Great guitar player. I've been playing since '78. I love and use the same tone he does. Overdriven, yet it's not like all the notes went through a blender.
Exciting stuff.
Damn monstrous tone.
Friedman makes the marshalls that Marshall should be making.
Get it right Marshall.
A.Zepp26 that’s exactly what I’ve said for years, too. Close your eyes and picture what you think a great Marshall sounds like. That’s what a Friedman sounds like. The Marshall...not so much 😂
Agreed...Fantastic sounding amp..the Jubilee gets you there though...kinda
Yeah true. But a good silver Jube is a great amp. Many prefer them over the Friedmans. They are pricey though.
blackstar and victory too
Very underrated. Great tone.
That is Tone!!!!

MY GOD WHAT TONE! That amp is sick!
Beautiful sound.
He talks about output distortion/compression. I always wanted to know how loud the pros run their amps. I think he has a great sound!
Led Zeppelin meets Punk Rock... that defines all. Cheers for Steve !
from 3:45, Stevie's Grandé Tone!!!
Dude is the quintessential rock star.
What would it be like to be able to whip out the jam he threw together at 3:45 - 4:40 just on a whim? Holy cow - I'd never leave the house.
Gunslinger guitarist right here!! Great Tone and Playability. Fuckin Legend.
Dam tone for days and technique that cuts thru the bullshit. Class act too.
That is a badass tone. Hope he does another anthem for Top Gun 2...
Steve's playing is so friggin tasty.
People should seriously check out his solo albums and work with Bozzio Levin Stevens.
at 3:47 it sounds like he's channeling some Robin Trower in there.
Great TONES !!!!!
Amazing sound!!!
Эмоций через край!! Виртуозная игра!! Браво!!
2:30 heart of the sunrise!!!! fuckin A
Most underated greater guitarist of all time
Awesome sound thank you
Robin Trower on steroids! Great sound, great player.

Lots of modulation effects and moderate overdrive. Gives it a bright harmonized bark, with a lot of bite in the low mids.
Every time his hands touch a guitar nothing but sold gold escapes from it
Steve is the master!!!
"Fingers" plays the corporate marketed Saul Hudson off a short break - like Tracii Guns Stevens is mind blowingly versatile and brilliant. That KNAGGS guitar is worth at least $7,000.
Guitar God! 🔥🔥🔥🔥☀️☀️👏👏👏
TOMORROW'S STEVE STEVENS, BIRTHDAY!! MAY, 5TH!! HAVE A GOOD ONE

Does Billy ever come watch you at these events? I'm sure he's a huge fan obviously.
Jimi Hendrix, Mick Ronson and Steve Stevens are my main guys.
Mick Ronson doesn't get nearly enough love
Can anyone tell me what brand guitar that is he's playing? His tone is outstanding!
glory777 knaggs
Friedman is great!!! Steve is great!!!
i was curious to know what pick ups are in THIS particular guitar here in the video?
The Best in the Business
I’m surprised gene Simmons and Paul Stanley didn’t hire Steve stevens to play in kiss, Steve stevens would have been excellent in kiss
Next to Mick Mars
Steve Stevens is music's most underrated guitar player

Staggeringly classy tone. Love it. Fat. hmmmmmmmm.

Thank you Steve for the Robin Trower respect. Robin gets no respect.
Only ugly guitar players need to have a perfect sound :-)
(Never mind, Steve. You're a six string phenomenon!)
Surprised he mentioned Steve Howe.
WTF is on his head
I love Steve stevens
Great guitarist and such a cool guy 🖤
