You have a good eye! I used to record using my smartphone and an app that allowed the minijack input as an audio source for videos, but lately this app stopped working in the middle of long recording sessions. I had to repeat last sets several times because of this. So I got an action camera that admits an analog audio input form the mixer -funny enough, not many cameras have this feature nowadays. I liked the fisheye lens on my phone better than this wide angle lens that is harder to frame, but now I can record with the same sound quality and without the risk of losing a whole hour of work.
