  • The LT230 has the option of fitting an ATB or Automatic Torque Biasing Centre differential. This offers some advantages over the standard centre diff, it also makes assembling a little more tricky. Hopefully the differences explained and install methods will help 👍

Is this something you would say you are glad you did it by yourself rather than buying a fully assembled one?

I think it depends on the individual and their needs. For me, I definitely like doing what I can, you will always learn more (unfortunately sometimes by mistakes) , have a better understanding of your vehicle and the individual components. Being on a budget , you can save some money doing things yourself as well. I also have a high attention to detail so it definitely suits me to do things myself.

I"m doing the math on it and after the ATB and the other upgraded components and the kit i'm at 500 pounds which is about 1100 cheaper than buying it. I guess so long as I dont' screw up the shims It'll work out@@Kustom110

@@grewk2518 definitely get yourself a copy of the Work Shop Manual, these are very useful. If you haven’t already, check out Mike from Britannica Restorations TH-cam channel, he has plenty of videos on rebuilding the LT230. And finally, take lots of photos during the dismantling process, you’ll be surprised what comes in handy 👍👍
