Getting to Know the Profoto A10 Flash

- Photography is all about light with portable light playing a huge part at times in our visual storytelling. Profoto took portable light to a new level bringing us the round flash light in the A10! They have really thought out the system making a universe of light modifiers that match the beautiful, powerful light giving us a great tool to tell our story. This is a simple video helping you see all the parts, and potential providing ideas how you can incorporate it all into your photography!

Thanks for the video, really nice! As far as I understood, if you go from 10 to 9 on profoto, that would be 1 full stop and to 8 power it would be 2 stops. The app function with the phone through Blutetooh is also fine! Specially if you are using the Profoto Connect.
I received my A10 2 days ago for my Hasselblad X2D. I really like your video, it is the best one I have seen so far. It is obvious and easy to understand the things you want to tell and share with us.

I'm going to comment because first of all we have the same last name, second I drank the Profoto Kool-Aid. My advice run to the store and buy the Profoto Connect Pro. It is such an upgrade from the Air Remote. The Pro has two features I love. One battery level, two shows your power output as you would see on the flash unit. I remember the day I bought the Profoto B1 kit and I had to do action pictures of students in a gym. I fired those flashes 1000 times in one hour, never missed a beat. I'm debating about buy the new A2's as they take the same battery as the A10's. For light stands I started buying the Kupo Click Stands as they stack together for easy transport. Great video.

Thank you for this video, very helpful! I already purchased one, but still learning how to use it. I'm a newby in (flash)photography and was about to make some core decisions on what trigger to buy and additional accessories. The Octa and the connect were already sitting in my shopping basket when I found your video. Feeling confident about my choice now. Am very curious about how you establish this beautiful "kissing" light you referred to in the video.
Howdy ... thanks for watchin! That "kiss" in my photography translates to the viewer not seeing a flash was used. The touch of the flash melds with the light, the story. Give yourself some time, have fun and you will find your kiss :-)

I just purchase one. It was time to graduate beyond what Nikon offered with the SB5000 and it’s predecessors. So far, so good! It can also be controlled by the FusionTLC (Pocket Wizard folks) Raven, where you can trigger two brands of flash at once.

Hey Moose, trust you are well, slightly off topic... I have been using the Clic Octa for sometime and its a game changer... would you know if Profoto are going to offer a 3ft version?

My box for my A10 said Thailand.
