This is so clean. It’s almost as if he’s not even playing a cover; just pretending the play over the track.
I just compared it to the original playthrough from the band. His cover is good, no doubt, but his alternate picking let it sound sloppy and he is doing way too much (dont if it is for show off purposes) with his arms (especially the right one).... I am not saying its bad, but its jsut not as perfect as perceived...

He es, actually. He played over a prerecorded track. I believe I heard the last harmonic of the solo even after he started playing the riff again. He might have recorded himself first and then played over that recording. I bet my bottom dollar he's trynna show off. Hehehe

Good recording gear, pedals ,amp set up etc and knowing how to play. I record on my phone so tone will always sound like shit that way and with no pedals.
