I think I’m spending too much time on Reverb because I pretty much knew what he was going to list in each category before he said it :)

I was finally able in my later years to acquire a used 2007 Vos R9 Les Paul in lemonburst…and an Fender CS..59…Aztec gold journey man relic..used again…I can tell u from playing many years …these custom shop guitars are very much as close to the guitars I grew up with …The only thing they can’t really replicate is wood age lol..and degaussing the pickups …which over time mellows the pickups ..The feel of the custom shops are really a great factor though…Enjoyed yr video..keep up the content…🤙🏻🤙🏻Glenn Nyc usa

Yes the 1968 saw Gibson finally go back to Les Paul…It’s nice gold top soap bars…then the deluxe came in with mini humbuckers pancake body those I remember playing in 70’s …those ahh not crazy about…if I had all those guitars I traded or sold in70’s 80’s …I’d be ina very secure place but who knew always

What advice do you have on buying a 1970s Yamaha FG 180 Red Label?

I had a good day with Michael from ATB and sold a couple of guitars without feeling that I'd been ripped.

4:21 where the feely romance pitch (You're buying into experience, buying with your nose...lofty business, that...) and the lovely flip to a Never Mind, It's Just For The Bucks Investment marketing pitch ends, and the regular music store price list justification posing as The Definitive Guide sales guy stuff starts.
    You're welcome.

Seem to be a lot of axe cracks in this comments section, so...I have a 1976 (ser no is 99, so should be 1975) made in USA LP pro Deluxe in ebony with soap bar P90s. The values on Reverb, etc. go all over the shop, so I have no idea what it's worth. It has admittedly some war scars, but nothing that can't be rectified - plastic knobs and such only cost pennies - only problem I expect would be touching up the finish, which in those days would have been in a paint type that is no longer available. Anyone have any ideas?

I love the vintage Gibson SGs from the late 60's from 67 all the way to 71 but i really love the 69's, and the 71's those are my favorite because i love angus young he's my favorite guitar player and he's the reason i have a 2024 Gibson SG standard but it's not a 61 which i really am proud of because i love the batwing pickguard but i want to install the maestro vibrola tremolo or the Frx Floyd rose tremolo, but yeah I'd probably buy a lot of vintage Gibson SG guitars and buy a lot of vintage super strats and even buy the 2007 evh frankenstrat and I'll even build my own guitars Gibson SG style guitars mine will all have the floyd rose tremolo and all the necks will have 24 frets and evh wolfgang pickups and some of them will be striped like eddie van halens those eddie van halen striped guitars will have one of them being a tribute to the frankenstrat and the second one will be the 5150 guitar and the final eddie van halen guitar will be the 1984 guitar and I'll even come up with my own custom original evh stripe pattern colors which will be blue purple and black and I'll put my signature symbol on the guitar head which will be a howling wolf with an upside down cross and my signature guitar will cost you all $95,729 and I'll make 500 copies of my signature guitar but one of my signature guitars will go to whoever is the 794th subscriber to my channel and y'all better subscribe to my channel because I'm working on a new video this weekend

why would anyone expect a person who makes a living selling vintage gear not to go down the wine cork sniffer path? These guys are appealing to people who can afford it. If you are lucky enough to have enough money, why not go for it! But don't whinge, just because you can't. Just like any guitar, it won't write it's own music, the player has to do that.

....Forget it, don't buy vintage. Overpriced - all of it. Get a nice players grade LP or Fender Corona, nothing wrong with those guitars & they play/sound as good as vintage.
