The Emperor didn't hate aliens and even protected non-hostile/non-Chaotic xeno species that submitted. While he was certainly more focused on human supremacy, he wasn't xenophobic or genocidal towards xenos, so long as they never enslaved or harmed humans. I could see him accepting a xeno leader if he felt like the alien would be especially useful.
Slight point of order. Wrecked ships are not necessarily hulks, despite that English uses the word in this fashion. I was so excited to play this, but I spent all my free time yesterday trying to get the Zroni, as getting psichic with materialists is quite hard otherwise. They really need to add a slider on galaxy creation that allows us to select precursors. We have it for the crisis, so why not that? It's quality of life as it allows us to get the one we need/want and play without having to waste precious time rolling it.
For those who haven't found Zroni yet, the easiest way to go about it is to only scan habitable planets with your science ships. As in don't scan the whole galaxy, don't use auto survey and just focus on the habitable planets near you and you'll eventually get the Zroni precursor event.
This is what earned you a sub. I've seen many other stellaris content creators cheating to make it a good and impressive outcome, but you roll the dice and play from where they land. Kudos sir.
Given some foresight, maybe you should send Mr Horus Heresy in an unshielded, unarmored and unarmed corvette into the system with the eldritch black hole monster. Just in case.

I do have some advice for people who wish to play this origin, as it is a very fun one. While your leader may be mortal, there are many ways to make him immortal. If you get to the final phase of any of the ascension paths (synthetic, psionic, etc), and about to pop up to meet your leader immortal, also giving you some nice bonuses. It’s a very fun thing and encourages you to explore the different ascension. I am currently doing this right now and I did synthetics.
Now that can be argued quite a bit. Governor might not suit him, but General and Scientist both suit him as well, considering his role in the unification wars and the creation of the space marines.

How funny it seems that when the Scourge invades and the emperor comatose, it's kinda comparable to the lore-wise imperium in WH40k, imperium still being a powerhouse, but enemy is everywhere and in a sense, the economy is just barely holding on in keeping the imperium alive

There's just one thing, THunder Warriors never left Segmentum Solar, probably not even Earth, they were just to conquer the homeworld, which was already a massive undertaking.
Is there a particular reason that you used 1.65x logistic growth and 0.15x growth scaling? Those numbers just stood out to me in your campaign setup. I also see you used Grand Admiral Scaling Difficulty. I’d imagine some sort of scaling would make this Origin a lot more fun to play, given that your Luminary grows based on how much they are able to expand their empire (still trying to find a more detailed explanation of the mechanics of that process on the wiki). But on Grand Admiral without scaling, while I can do well pretty consistently, I often find I have to essentially turtle for the first few decades or so, which is precisely the time that I need to be expanding as much as possible if led by the Luminary.
