Interesting spot they don’t consider Black Americans part of the African diaspora? But they include Afro-Latino? Why is that?

I think this was a slip-up on her part. I'm sure she's aware as she said that African immigrant populations are a part of the greater US Black population, recognizing our shared history and affinity. African Americans played an integral role in the independence movement and Africans, Caribbeans, and Afro-Latinx people played an important role in the abolition of slavery world wide. It is important that African immigrant communities and African Americans work together as integral parts of the African diaspora without papering over the important history that led to our distinct communities. Without over-simplifying the situation, our fates will forever be linked and no matter what some say we stand in solidarity with eachother❤🤝

@@obiohachijioke4311we as black Americans need Africans to focus on building Africa. Not focusing on building America. We understand that we made this place comfortable for black people to excel and grow rich but what about our motherland.

@@AfrimericanSoul I believe she is referring to two things here: 1) African diasporans (African Americans, African Immigrants, Caribbeans, and Afro-Latinx) coming together to sure up their place in the US future, as for those of us that live here, this will become our home within just 1 to 2 generations, similarly to how African Americans have built the US and, despite opposition, are working to make it a comfortable home for African Americans. 2) African diasporans coming together to influence U.S. foreign and trade policy towards Africa. This is an indispensable condition for prosperity as the US will remain a top 3 economy for decades to come and we have already seen the effects U.S. Africa policy has on Africa. Thats why she founded AfriPAC. Africa has more than enough human capital to achieve growth, it is about unlocking that potential and constructive U.S. engagement can go a long way towards that, hence she founded AfriPAC.

@@obiohachijioke4311 we should also be able to run for office in many African nations so that we can influence policy for Africans Americans in Africa. we have different fights and your black vote make harm the conditions of black Americans while you are trying to advocate for Africa. the reality is that no African earn any political office in USA without the vote of BLACK Americans supporting them because if they ran with their true agenda we would not vote for them. therefore Africans re using our spirit of Black unity and taking advantage of that to gain political power to turn around and not fight for anything that benefits black people in USA but help them earn more money and power back in African for themselves.
