Raising Goats for 4H | Maryland Farm & Harvest

Fifteen-year-old Hannah Haines has been raising goats for years. At Whitetail Acres Boer Goats in Hampstead, MD, she’s raising one from birth as a project for 4-H, a youth ag education organization. Throughout the summer, we check in and see how the goat grows up and how Hannah learns more about the work that goes into raising animals. At the end, she shows the goat at a 4-H competition where kids compete with the animals they raised.

i do meadowlarks 4h in the Nevada county fair this year is only 4th year doing market goats this year his name is strider and i deffenetly noticed i have worked harder with him than my other goats..last year was very hard to sell my market goat named coco because his mother got killed by a couger so my mom and i built a barn it works amazingly its huge and heated during the winter for kidding
