I've said it before and I'll say it again: Jackpot really is so under appreciated. It takes a massive swing at the entire k-pop industry with not just the lyrics but also the MV. They openly criticize how it's an extremely predatory industry and aspiring idols will be pulled in to stuff they weren't even remotely prepared for at a very vulnerable age, and it's also reflective of what they themselves went through with their first company. The actress being so young and vulnerable, approaching something she both wants and fears with more courage than what's good for her, going through a dub con transformation, ending up strong and confident enough to say her piece and then getting attacked for it is no coincidence.
I think it was just truly unfortunate timing. They had to delay the release because of the Sewol Ferry incident, and subsequently the public's anger was focused on governmental corruption. It simply wasn't a good time to try to bring attention to other issues, regardless of how valid.
This is honestly one of the best MV concepts I've ever seen. It will always remain one of my favourites of all time. 7th album, 7 members, 7 seasons representer. 777 = Jackpot. Absolutely genius.

Ultimately, they didn't and don't really care about their image when it comes to protect their own beliefs: they are honest with themselves even if they'll be criticized for it, and it's one of the many reasons why I admire and respect them. I did back then and I'll always do. But all of this aside... How cool was Zico with the rainbow make up??? I remember I was super hyped about it back then 😂😂👌🏼

I'd say that Block B was quite lucky to have someone like Zico, since he literally pulled them up and also saved the agency back then... I have to say, SM, JYP and YG are the Big Three, so I don't think they would ever steal their artists profits, even worse, take away their salaries, and bring them to the brink of bankruptcy: maybe not promote them enough, since they have groups and artists that already affirmed themselves in the industry. The fact, for big agencies, is that groups like EXO, SUJU, Blackpink, Stray Kids, BTS, to name some, have an enormous amount of success and fame: the runner ups are those groups that win the competition for the second rank, and once a certain position is secured, it's difficult to snatch it because of the income that those groups already bring in. A big agency is like a kingdom: there's no space at the top for more than two or three groups, the others have to suck it up and hope for a streak in terms of fans to climb up. But managing to climb up even to that second rank in a big agency is a sure ticket to fame, even if the latter could be less than the "pillar" artists of the agency. For artists from nameless/minor agencies, the competition is even fiercer, because the tides can change in days, or even hours, as other artists from other small agencies could get a rank higher before anyone in their agency do. So I think that our opinions basically differ because of the different circumstances: one is a group from a nameless agency and the other from a colossus. Block B risked to disappear because of bankruptcy, even though they had started to gather quite a number of fans, they didn't have the funds to sustain themselves: from concerts to promotions. Luckily Zico managed to get up thanks to the royalties from his songs, if not, they would have disbanded long ago. But, again, it's my opinion and I absolutely agree that many groups deserve better.
Other groups: "We change our hair color so often we confuse new fans!" Block B: "What's U-Kwon's hair color for this video? Black or blond...?" U-Kwon: "Both. It's both." Block B: "Great idea!"

It is a really really sad news. I really like Jackpot, its so interesting and quirky (not to mention catchy). They look damn good in this mv too. And The dance seems very fun. I hope they will promote/showcase this song on a stage one day. I really want to see Jackpot LIVE.
Awww, I was really excited for their comeback activities :( I can wait though for them though,they're Block B! I hope they comeback later this year with an album. ^^ I'm just really worried this will cost them :( I don't want them to lose the popularity they have been steadily gaining since their last comeback (there are so many new BBCs, yay!) and I hope the money they lose from not marketing this single won't affect them and their company too much. Block B fighting!!!
Don't worry, they said that they will be coming out with an album in the later half of this year after their solo concerts :) And I don't think they'll lose many BBCs, especially the BBCs that went through all the controversies with them...
