Denzel son sounds identical to him ( of coarse he is his son) but looks identical to his mother! I enjoyed this movie, it's actually a " borderline horror" ...and let's talk about " calling on ur ancestors" ...pretty good to me!!
Stagey dialogue was the problem I had with "Fences". The dialogue in "Fences" sounded like it came from a play. The characters gave long monologue-like speeches that didn't sound the way that people would talk in real life. Most of movie took place in Denzel Washington's character's family backyard so it had a limited setting. These issues kept me from enjoying "Fences" more than I wanted to despite the stellar performances from Denzel Washington and Viola Davis. I have not seen "The Piano Lesson" yet but I fear that I am going to have the same issues with it like I had with "Fences".
Hi there. I enjoy your content. Can you guys please do an aftershow for Alex Cross coming out next week. A review breakdown of Alex cross would be awesome. Thanks 🙏 take care
THANK YOU!!!!! Are black people scared to be critical because it’s a black movie? Or are we just this dense? The movie had a million plot holes that NEEDED to be filled and the acting was good but not great. The actor that played boy Willie’s friend was absolutely awful. It pissed me tf off. What’s really wrong with yall?
Thank you for this review. Yeah A lot of reviews highlight Danielle Deadwyler as the best performance in the movie. Why could they not cast someone else as Boy Willie?

Thank-you for your thoughtful and articulate review.
What did you think of the 1995 movie with Alfre Woodard and Charles Dunning? I thought they showed much more emotion and energy.
I loved it
