I don’t know what Knicks fans Wos is talking to. From my perspective 1/3 of the fan base is terrified of the minutes (myself), 1/3 think the team isn’t gritty enough and they should never get tired because they get paid alot (insane), 1/3 say we can’t criticize anything and Thibs is beyond reproach because the Knicks have sucked so we shouldn’t have any expectations. Thibs played OG Anunoby 40 minutes in the front end of a back to back tue other night (37 the second night). Our 4th quarter net rating is 24th or so in the league. Mikal and OG are playing the most minutes of their career, are shooting close to their lowest 3 PT % of their careers and performing inconsistently defensively. The team can look great especially when rested but they’re getting run into the ground and have been shockingly healthy thus far.
Meh, last year the Celtics were having a historic top 20 season ever and Porzingis got no love for unlocking that team, we gotta stop with the Jarret Allen fringe all star stuff
Lamelo is shooting %41.5 from the field and %33.5 from three. Taking him because of his scoring over other guards is like saying a box of ice cream is better for you than a salad and some baked chicken because the ice cream weighs more.
Tough to hit a high percentage when you have no other teammates to take the defensive pressure off of you. LaMelo on the Knicks is playing with higher efficiency. On the Hornets teams can focus all their defensive attention on LaMelo so tougher shots and harder to score.
@TheeDevinMartin plenty of dudes on teams with one real scoring option have played more efficiently. Homey's problem is his play style and shot selection.
I e always thought Ja is only American that can become face of the league worldwide. The face has to have charisma, attitude, backstory, something special in their game, etc. I dont know if he can get pass his past tho. David Stern started marketing the "face" with Bird and Magic. Magic had the charisma, stylish game and was in LA. Bird had the gritty game that was also stylish. He was also white so that brings more dollars. Then next face was MJ. Dont need to say anything on why he was. Chuck was same time as MJ. Watch the doc, he was the most popular worldwide besides MJ during dream team. Shaq and Kobe were marketed as faces. Obvious why with both. Iverson was the antihero face of the league. Then finally Bron and Curry. And before yall say KD, he is a superstar but im talking about worldwide and he isnt someone that a kid in Thailand knows. I think Ja was the only choice for the next face but killed it.
