  • Bangkok's Chinatown is known for its markets and street food. But, did you know it's also where you can get close to crocodiles?
Wat Chakrawatrachawat Woramahawihan, or moe commonly referred to as Wat Chakrawat, is a small Buddhist temple located at the edge of Bangkok's Chinatown. Not only is it one of the city's oldest temples, but this small temple has been home to crocodiles for a very long time.
According to legend, Wat Chakrawat became the home to crocodiles because Ai-bod, a vicious one-eyed crocodile sought refuge under a monk's home while being hunted by angry villagers.
Today, you won't find only crocodiles at Wat Chakrawat. There are stunning murals, attractive architectural features, and plenty of history.
