Hi! I'd just like to say that you really did a great job explaining! Would like to ask if the process on the sensitivity analysis would be similar if I were to design an absorber that is intended for chemical absorption of CO2 using MEA as a solvent? Thanks!

      Thanks!
Yes, the sensitivity analysis should be pretty much the same. However, the definition of the absorption column must include the reaction between CO2 and MEA to act as a chemisorption process.

Assalamo 3alaikom Brother Mohammed. first of all jazaka allaho khayran and thank you for this amazing tutorial.
I wanted to ask you please about the design of column internals in this section or in stripping column. Because I am doing my master Thesis now and i am using a packed bed column with random packing. I will be so greatful if you make a video explain8ng this part. Thank you and salamo 3alaikom

Hello, thank you very much for your videos. I'm trying to simulate the absorption of CO2 using MEA. I have defined all the reactions (equilibrium and kinetic) taking place in the column. My question is how do i find in this case the theoretical stages, given that this is a reactive system?

If the simulation runs without errors, you can find the number of stages in the column results.

Hi, I've been watching your videos to try and understand how using an absorber works in Aspen Plus. I'm having an issue where aspen is not recognizing a solvent that i am using. Is there any way to use a solvent that aspen doesnt have in database, perhaps by inputing any required info or data?

Sometimes the solvent is there but you need to check in other databases, you can do this in the "database tab" in the components definition window.
You can define a component if you know the properties of the solvent, I have not done this before but you can search for it.

Can you please explain the simulation of adsorption of heavy metal onto activated carbon

I have not simulated adsorption using Aspen Plus before. I know that one of the installed software in the Apen Plus package is called "Aspen Adsorption" but I have not used it before. You can try it.
