    // My Story
    I am currently a software developer who once modeled and thought I wanted to pursue a career in the fashion industry. While I was modeling in Hong Kong, I eventually felt the desire to further my education. I decided to depart the modeling world and move back to Canada, knowing that could be the end of my modeling opportunities. I attended Ryerson University for GCM (Graphic Communications Management), as I thought I might still work in the fashion industry in another capacity. It was in my last year of university, I was introduced to a very basic coding course. I instantly fell in love. From there I knew I wanted to pursue software development but didn't have a clue where to start. I didn't want to go back to university as I just completed a four-year degree. I decided to enroll in a 10-week intensive coding Bootcamp. From there I started working at a small startup learning and growing my technical and soft skills. I then transitioned to a larger company where I am a software developer and technical consultant today.

    Thanks for sharing Tiff! Could you also provide some details on salary comparison? Is a Developer Advocate a more paying position than a Senior Sofware Engineer or are these two on the same level?

    Great overview information about developer advocate:) I wonder would you have a perspective on bigger tech company as developer advocate compared to say a smaller scale start-up company? do you think this role function quite differently between start-up and large established tech companies, if you could provide a few examples would be great! This is a very interesting topic tbh.
    Most of the devs, especially Junior Devs do not know well what a software developer advocate does.

    Somwere down the line I drop you some words in Instagram messages relating some advice as a fellow tech enthusiast and you did not answer. Either way, after years of tech experience and recruiting and back in dev as a acting software developer this is the right pathway to choose to combine tech skills and soft skills. Keep up the amazing work and hugs !

    So in the nutshell, you are the bridge between the developer team and product team? You also mentioned you did a variety of roles, so wouldn't consultant fit what you are currently doing atm?

    • @TiffInTech

      Great summary in terms of bridge between dev and product. Not so much like a consultant as it is internal for my company but I guess you could say consult for other developers in a way

    Hi, Tiff. How much math do i need to know to get a job offer from Google as a software engineer?(I'm naturally keen on programming)

    • @TiffInTech
      @TiffInTech  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You got this! Math varies based on the specific position in software engineering. I would say overall though you need strong logical and problem solving skills

    So as I get it you have group of developers and sell services to large companies. Its cool, I know one russian guy also he have good european look like blue eyes and he also represent developers from India to european scandinavian companies and his job only neotiations of prices for services and he pay his teamsalary, and he is doing very good money, he used to be developer but now he is only contracting and contacting companies. Yes its very cool job if you knowhto contact all those companies!!!🥰
