The follicle is from the area that was not balding. The follicle retains it's characteristics. If you have a receding hair line restored, the native hair may miniaturize or bald away and leave the transplanted hair looking lonely. So it's best to be on Rogain and propecia to slow balding.
@@mc365mc You mean finasteride and minoxidil, you just named brands not the actual chemicals. Minoxidil for added growth and finasteride to stave off miniaturization.
@@mc365mc No it's not, this is an international platform and those products can't be found everywhere. Ironically the hair on the sides and back of your head is not affected by DHT like the top of your head so it won't! I only know due to research and my buddy just did it
If you do not use any medication to target the hair loss like powerful DHT reducing medication such as finasteride or dutasteride then the transplanted hair will eventually fall out over time. How soon depends on the level of androgenetic alopecia. Thankfully the hair on the sides and back of the head is DHT resistant to an extent and haven't been damaged due to DHT being higher on the areas of common hair loss (hairline and crown). But again they will eventually die out.

So question here doc, if your hair falling out is a result kf a biochemical change in your body usually due to testosterone, would the hair transplant be expected to eventually fail over a set period of time if the biochemical issue causing hair to fall out has not been remedied?
I believe the back sides follicles are not susceptible to DHT shrinkage. So no, you won’t have the same problem. They are a different type of follicle for some reason.
You will be taking meds to stop balding. This is just to stop the damage done. Though balding meds are nasty on body. I'll just Shave when it gets too bad. I'm not ashamed of my body.
From what i understand you don't need as the the hair from the donor area is not affected from DHT. I believe finasteride is used to preserve whatever is left on top of the head.
I had beatiful and thick hair with a good hairline. Then I got sick and needed medication in order to not live in constant immense pain in every moment for the rest of my life. When I got the meds, the nurses told me that a common side effect is balding and thinning of the hair. I was like ”Who cares about that, I want to live again”. The meds worked fine and I almost completely in remission nowdays. But recently I started losing my hair and I got panicked by it. I started looking at the mirror all the time and I even scheduled an appointment at a hair clinic. And then I just stopped and remembered that scared, sad and sick man in pain that used to be me. All I wanted was to live without pain, and at that point potential hairloss felt like such a non-problem in comparison that it didnt matter even a little bit. So I just shook my head and canceled the appointment. It wasnt for me. I just needed to be reminded about how miniscule things like appearence is in the face of true hardships. And I already take so many meds that I just couldnt see myself take more and risk even more potential side effects (a transplant doesnt stop hairloss other in the specific hairs that got transplanterad). I still looks decent when I keep it short. But I will soon shave it all of and be done with it. And I did not write this whole novel just to bash people who think hairloss is a big thing for them. If you feel sad about it and want to adress it, you go for it. I support that 100% What I am saying is that in the end of day is that it is purely cosmetic thing. Never forget that you arent defined by how you look and ageing is a perfectly normal part of life (and that is coming from someone who didnt even lose hair because of age). If you want a procedure done in order to feel better about yourself, do it! But never forget you are just as great without one, and be thankful for your health.
I wanted this as I was born bald. But I have a condition called monilethrix so each hair strand is like a spiral and not a long tube like a normal strand of hair. So it doesn't matter where you took the hair from it would still be the same. And my next hair would also push the new hair out as it's thicker than normal hair but snaps off.
Crazy! Looks painful as hell! At the start of video, what are they injecting in the scalp to soften up the scalp to pull ut off the way they do? It looks like it melted that layer of scalp

how much money can i expect to pay for something like this?
So glad I have a full head of hair with no signs of male pattern baldness at 42. I think I'm in good shape. It's all grey but it's there 😅
My FUE was done by hand with no power tool.
It was far better and gentle on me.

@PeaBraine the hair will look like the same as before from examples I've seen of before and after photos or time-lapse videos. If you mean the skin then no clue but I suppose it doesn't matter unless if you decided to shave it bald but if you're going so far to get a transplant I assume you aren't wanting to shave your head bald.
The doner area will regrow? How?
You already took the hair from there
How much would this extremely painful looking fix cost and what's the failure rate?
It's to expensive that's why most people just deal with having a bad hairline
depends on how much needs to be transplanted, it can cost up to like 50k
I can recommend getting midoxinil and a derma roller! Both combined cost like 50€ and I did reverse my hair loss with it! Derma rolling makes the skin more Porous and stimulates healing and blood circulation to the old hair follicles and midoxinil will multiply the effect even more!
@@dawsonvanwinkle3705you don't have to deal with it, I did completely reverse my hair loss with midoxinil and a derma roller!😊

Is this viable for beards aswell? Imagine being able to grow a magnificent full beard.
How does it regrow if you remove the follicles?
As long as the hair follicle is implanted back into the body in a short period of time they grow in the new area that they are transplanted to
Like plucking an eyebrow and then it regrows
@@drkopelmanyou said it regrows from back of neck where it was removed
@@SoulDelSol not what he said..😂 he said IF hair is transplanted BACK in time, it will be ok but otherwise nope. Its gone to a new home, never to return.
@@drkopelman yeah, but you expressed it like it will regrow where you took it out
Wait, so the hair regrows where it was extracted? I assumed this procedure was like a redistribution of hair and where the hair was originally taken wouldn't come back.
Does that hurt a lot? Does it bleed much?
First time didn’t hurt at all depends the clinic gave me Xanax and IV sedative then local sedative for the scalp but second time same procedure my legs were shaking from the pain
Nice breakdown 👍🏾
It's doesn't regrow. It heals and the scars are noticeable. Small dots, can't cut your hair very low like a fade without noticing the hairless dots
How much does it cost?
Money
Dinero, mucho.
There is a clinic I know of that is cheaper
That looks uncomfortable but WAY BETTER than when they cut a huge strip out and sew the hole together leaving a huge scar
What’s to keep it from just receding again or continued hair loss though?
The follicle is from the area that was not balding. The follicle retains it's characteristics. If you have a receding hair line restored, the native hair may miniaturize or bald away and leave the transplanted hair looking lonely. So it's best to be on Rogain and propecia to slow balding.
@@mc365mc You mean finasteride and minoxidil, you just named brands not the actual chemicals. Minoxidil for added growth and finasteride to stave off miniaturization.
@@kazykamakaze131 Same shit.
@@mc365mc No it's not, this is an international platform and those products can't be found everywhere. By actually knowing the base chemicals you can get products locally from dermatologists that have mixtures of topical finasteride mixed with minoxidil in different dissolving solutions, the one I have uses a salt base soluble instead of alcohol based and doesn't irritate or inflame the scalp.
Finasteride killed my testosterone from 700 dl to 130 in 3 months I needed to stop. Other Bad side effects too... Its not for everyone.
How do they regrow without a follicle?
Someone please answer this. It's making no sense to me
🤣 🤣 I've accepted and started to love my bald head
Midoxinil and a derma roller is all you need to fix your hairline! My crowns grew back
Can you extract the hair from the legs or arms and transplant them onto the head
That's a different type of hair.... It's way too coarse for your head.
@@randybobandy9828 good to know! Thanks 🙏
Yes they can
What prevents it from falling out again?
Ironically the hair on the sides and back of your head is not affected by DHT like the top of your head so it won't! I only know due to research and my buddy just did it
What about planting new follicles at the front hairline to replace hairs lost from FFA? Would the new follicles stay and thrive ?
From what I've read, you need to take a drug called finasteride daily to prevent it from falling out again.
Get midoxinil and a derma roller! Reversed my hair loss completely
@@tammypinon6466you can reactivate old hair follicles with midoxinil topical spray! Use a derma roller before both combined did reverse my hair loss
Omg I am FREAKED OUT that they are doing that
How long does it last? Will I keep the transplanted hair for the rest of my life or will I eventually lose the transplanted hair as well?
10 years ish not meant for people with problematic baldness it's for your average 60+ year old joe

Bro what are you actually talking about
@@guatermelon511 Lookup MPMD on TH-cam he has tons of great hair loss videos explaining all the different types of hair loss medication and how it works.

How does hair in the back regrow if you literally took the hair??
There's more hair in the back
he mis-spoke, I think he meant the remaining shaved hair follicles will of course re-grow. The 'missing' follicle is going to a better place :)
I would have been so pissed to go through all that and STILL look like I'm going bald 😂
The black and white does a good job of masking what is being shown, that could have been tomato seeds or pomegranate 😅
Am I the only person who thinks this actually looks kinda satisfying?...
Is there like, someway to remove hair like this? Like, not using the laser treatment that feels eternal and that things
Yes, but in order to keep the hairs that were transplanted from falling out over time you need to take finasteride
Bullshit. These hairs stay. To stop your other hair from falling out you take meds
And a possible side effect from finasteride is penis shrinking.
From what i understand you don't need as the the hair from the donor area is not affected from DHT. I believe finasteride is used to preserve whatever is left on top of the head.
Wrong. Only need to take that to prevent further balding from existing hair. Transplanted hair will never fall out
Is this an option for removing a widow’s peak? Just the first step, not transplanting it.
Man that looks like it hurts like hell
It does
I had beatiful and thick hair with a good hairline.
I support that 100%
What I am saying is that in the end of day is that it is purely cosmetic thing. Never forget that you arent defined by how you look and ageing is a perfectly normal part of life (and that is coming from someone who didnt even lose hair because of age). If you want a procedure done in order to feel better about yourself, do it! But never forget you are just as great without one, and be thankful for your health.
That hairclip 🤣
How much would this cost? Can this be done in one day, or is it in multiple visits?
Yes this can be done in one day. And costs varies based upon the size of the hair transplant you need
Until your hairline continues to recede and you are left with loads of hair on front but none on top leaving you to keep going back!
No thank you.
That's why you should wait until later in life when you've reached your max balding
Of course it works your moving plants from the back to the new garden in the front
What other body parts are valid to use every 10 years ish for every transplant? Thighs, legs, arms, beard??
Follicles transplanted to the front if they fall out or die will not regrow like the back and have to be retransplanted
But how long does it last, if you already are loosing your hair?
Depends on where you did the surgery? Mine 3 years and going
@HankPatrick-h3l Okay
I always wondered how hair transplants were done.
Crazy! Looks painful as hell! At the start of video, what are they injecting in the scalp to soften up the scalp to pull ut off the way they do? It looks like it melted that layer of scalp
It is so over. Norwood hits hard.
To each their own. I'm 34, been bald(ing) for nearly a decade now. Was shaving my head before I even started to bald. I love being bald. Don't have to pay for hair cuts. Shampoo lasts forever. Don't get bedhead or cowlicks or anything. Bald life is the best life.

Yep
Treatment can be done in turkey… ranging from $2-10k 🤷♂️ depends on your budget. Let’s be real, no other country has more experienced doctors doing this surgery in one city… Istanbul 🇹🇷
So why doesn’t it just fall back out again? Wouldn’t the DHT in the scalp just cause hair loss again?
