    Imagine being a natual light-heavywheight and still daring to go up and face true heavywheight killers like Ali and Joe Fraizer. Foster was a true badass and one of the great punchers in boxing history.

      @@brocksimmons345 Can't compare Wilder with Langford. Wilder fought only 2 former champs and maybe 1 hall of famer. Langford at 17 beat a Hall of Famer Joe Gans then 1 year later he drew against another hof the Barbados demon. He fought 70+ hall of fame fights !!!

      The light heavyweight division was pretty dead back then to be honest. The heavyweight division back then was probably the best era for the heavyweights, alot of fighters in that weight class who Foster couldn't beat

    In an interview Bob says that he developed his left by constantly throwing it out with a 1 pound weight. Says thats why his left shoulder was bigger than his right. Huge Foster fan myself. Great vid as always

    People forget about this man! One of the greatest p4p punchers in history retired light heavyweight champion of the world! Didn't fare so well against the heavy weights because he was really a light heavyweight but man that guy could punch! REST EASY 🏆

    Pity he wasn't 5 or 10 years younger, imagine him mixing with saad Muhammad,spinks, galindez,conteh quasi and marvin Johnson for me he beats all those tremendous fighters but his legacy would have been far greater. I'll say it again rhythm and timing beats all this strength and conditioning of today,and better on the eye too.

      It was almost cruel they way that his own era had so few fighters to seriously challenge him, and as soon as he retired in '77, one of the greatest generations of Light-Heavies ever started coming up.

    Lightnin Bob Foster an absolute all time great! A lot of the older generation say Archie Moore was the best light Heavyweight ever but for me it's Foster remember him knocking out Chris Finnigan at Wembley and four years before that wins the light Heavyweight Title by knocking out Dick Tiger in the 4th spark out devastating

    He later admitted his biggest mistake when going up to HW was he tried to hard to knock out the HW fighters instead of boxing them. And it cost him. Still a beast though.

    Strong impact jab; not a tapping- point making- feeling out punch. It hit like a straight left.
    He was the best light heavyweight ever in Boxing.
    No other lightweight from any other era was better.
    He was the best.

      Conteh came a little too late and by that time Foster was no longer the same fighter. He actually was on commentary for Conteh's fight against Yaqui Lopez and you could tell he was very impressed by Conteh's jab and overall boxing ability.

    Excellent Presentation Sir 👏! Foster was truly THE HITMAN in every sense of the word before Hearns came along. His kayos were SCARY. The Quarry KO in particular. Quarry looked as if he was dead and I'm not saying that in jest. He cleaned out an entire division and had the grit to face Frazier and Ali when they were good.

      Ezzard Charles is the best LH in history, and there were some others better than Foster - but Foster's power is up there with hard hitters like Moore and Langford.

      @GustavusAdolphus1 I've already watched the Conn & Loughran films. And that's why I'm saying a Light-Heavyweight Charles beats them both. Everything they did (lateral circling, jab & parry, clinching off the parry, Charles did better).
      "Charles was probably a better Heavyweight than he was a Light Heavyweight, but even then, at his peak, he's missing and getting out-punched by a relative amateur."
