This man is straight up one of the most important figures in Trance music, yet he get's so little praise apart from Rush Hour! Everyone should check out his compilations & mixes he did with 00 Fleming back in early 2000s. Just a massive gold mine of absolute quality! I'm so glad seeing he got the chance to be featured on a mainstage for this!
Used to see him live almost every few weeks back in the early 2000's at SoCal clubs. Still remember the legendary LA Athletic Club set where he was spinning at the bottom of an olympic sized empty pool!
@@Fizban_TV Fuckkkkk I live in San Diego and used to go to Riches and Montage. I can't believe I missed him at Montage!! I wish that place was still around.
me and my friend saw him last year in a small club and there were like 30 people only. that 5 hours straight of Psytrance was fkin crazy. This man is so underrated
Ohh man Christopher Lawrence Legendary Trance DJ!! Super glad I saw him in the early 2000s. This is what Dance music is all about Pulsing Beats taking you in a super sonic journey and not letting go! You Killed it CL!
I've seen Christopher no less than 25 times. From the 90's till now. Every time he takes you to another world. One of the most immersive trance DJ's of all time. He sets the trends that everyone else tries to follow. He's always on the cutting edge of trance. 💯🤘🔥💣✅
The best set! Thanks Christopher, come soon to México! Tracklist: 1. A9 (BIG CMV Remix) - Ariel 2. Empty The Tanks - Lostly 3. Puja - Mad Maxx and Javier Bussola 4. ID - ID 5. Disorder - 3 Of Life 6. Into the 4Th Dimension - Space Tribe 7. Unicorns Still Exist - Transient Disorder & E-Mov 8. Still Sparkling - 3 Of Life
I had his cd from like forever ago and I listen to it still to this day. When I was like 5 my dad came back from Germany with a stack of trance music and his name was a big one when it came to getting that right song going on a drive with my dad. We always got weird looks, but me and him would always flaunt it. Need I remind y'all it was the year 2000 middle of kansas.
The most underrated, hardest working guy in the biz. I've met him multiple times at burning man. The nicest guy ever! Been following him for 22 years and he doesn't disappoint.
Simply WOW ! ! ! ! Mesmerizing and legendary set. I could not stop jumping around. Memories of his gigs I've seen, all reappeared. Thank you Insomniac ! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU CHRISTOPHER LAWRENCE ! ! ! ! ! ! !
This took me awhile to write. Every body wants to trip so bad. But then they get there....when your balls deep in this with the ac blasting leds strobing then what... mid way through I ask myself this question and explode dancing.... HOLEEEEYYY FUCKKKK it feels great to dance a fool in my own club. Thank you guys.
Simply the greatest. Been a fan since 99, and had the opportunity to see him 3 times in DC and Baltimore. The man is so damn talented and cool as hell.
Good God almighty! Quite likely the best set ever to be "spun" in modern times and yet unknown by so many. Thank you so much C. Law and Insomniac for such a historic event!
I've been listening to Pandora for about 10 years, and it was only recently Christopher's stuff started to be noticed by me on my channels. Not sure if Pandora just started playing his stuff or what, but I found I kept up-voting his tracks without even knowing it was him.
Been my favorite Dj / Producer , since the mid 90s. One of my favorite pieces of vinyl was Shedder, that track was my choice dance floor filler headed to take off.
Shredder and the wayback machine returns us to those heady days in the lates 90’s when Christopher Lawrence was signed to legendary Hook Recordings out of Aberdeen Scotland.
Christopher was the TRANCE GOD in Los Angeles for a long time. This dude has us moving and grooving - if the flyer had an Alien on it, you bet your ass Christopher was on that flyer. If you had his mix tape CONTACT, you'd know why he was playing all over. I remember a party at a Long Beach warehouse in the 90s where Donald Glaude just gave him praise because he had the crowd moving at a peak, and Donald Glaude was about to follow up with a set of breakbeat techno/house... how the hell do you up that energy!!!?? Damn, I miss those 90s parties. haha.
I was privileged to sit 6 feet away from Christopher Lawrence back in 1997 at the State Palace Theater in New Orleans. One of the most amazing sets sets I've ever seen.
He has grabbed onto psy-trance and kinda stuck with it. Do yourself a favor and check out his older mixtapes and compliations. His mixtape Odyssey is how I was introduced to him. Still blows me away to this day. The track selection and programming done is top notch.
Shame to see trance has slowly been losing supporters switching to the big room Marshmallow shit and the mainstream tech house, I used to love old school AVB, Schulz and trance from 2001-2008

Best set of the night hands down.
Really? I liked kristina skys set better and i love psy more than regular trance

Grimey ass set
why is he wearing a mask no one is near him?
Close space its a must
Break dance practice, TH-cam
Great set! Too bad he had to wear a mask through the whole thing =/
Trouble with psytrance it all sounds pretty much the same
It took almost 10 years to star to appreciate psy Trance
Completely agree with you on that.
