You can couple FEM and CFD simulation to find out. On SimScale you can perform a CFD analysis and use the resulting pressures for a FEM analysis for instance.
HOW much of a domain do you reckon we need for a wind study. if I have a100 m tall building, can the domain be XYZ 100m,100m,150m ? i see often large domains being used, where the building is tiny in its domain. Any rules of thumb? thanks
When i try to run analyses, i get mistake mesh is assigned to different surfaces, however needs to be assigned to one surface I do not know how to Sølve it
A velocity inlet boundary condition is used in this case, have a look at the BCs here: www.simscale.com/projects/Ali_Arafat/demo-vortex_shedding_around_a_building/
Do you have a specific project you want to test it on? Feel free to reach out to us using the forum and we can discuss things in a bit more detail there :)
Hi surachat, you can have a look at our workshop thread in the forum: www.simscale.com/forum/c/workshops-webinars There you can find some useful step-by-step instructions. Please let me know if you have some wishes for future workshop series.
You can do that by using either the incompressible solver module on SimScale or (if you have a professional license) use the LBM solver using the Lattice-Boltzmann approach.
Im here because i was showering and thought "I wonder how strong wind would have to be to move a statue of something sitting on top of another square rock" Hmm.
Project is here: www.simscale.com/projects/Ali_Arafat/demo-vortex_shedding_around_a_building/ - can create a tutorial with the new interface if you like.
Could be that you have an error in your geometry or the format is not compatible. Feel free to reach out to us via the forum and we'll help you out! Allowed format uploads can be found here: www.simscale.com/forum/t/supported-cad-formats/84413
Very informative, thanks for sharing
Hi I want to learn this software.. as I am doing mg mtech thesis by using this software can.. you please tell me how to enroll to your course
Hi, Is there any certified course available on this topic?
Hi!! Can you share the manual setup for boundary conditions with crosswind cases? Thank you
how can i find the effects of wind on a pedestrian bridge? i need to find the periods and apply loads to structure to prevent resonating

@@JousefM seems good idea at theory, i will try to apply it on a sample. thank you!
@@koseku3 Keep me posted about the results :)

You already posted this in the forum, helped you there :)
DO YOU USE TOTAL PRESSURE OR STATİC PRESSE FOR PRESSURE THAT SURFACE OF BULDİNG

Can you show RMS/peak load plots in your validation study?
Are you suggesting that you can obtain accurate peak loads on cladding and structure using CFD?

SimScale GmbH, I don’t believe you can obtain accurate peak loads using CFD to be honest, but am happy to be corrected.

Hi Milad, if you can provide a step by step workshop/webinar for wind loads on buildings like F1 and Drone etc. it would be perfect. thanks. :)

Hi! I'm a beginner user of ansys fluent and I have to study the across wind on a tall building. How can you insert this option in the software?
You can do that by using either the incompressible solver module on SimScale or (if you have a professional license) use the LBM solver using the Lattice-Boltzmann approach.

can anyone provide with the result of wind analysis for my design?
Hello
Yes I can
Let me know your details

Hello, I upload my structure but error appear. What will I do then? thanks a lot.
Also, what kind of format does the simscale desire for an autocad drawing?

Where I can find crack version of your software.
There is no crack version :D You can simply create an account and (legally) use SimScale completely for free.
thats hilarious
too long video. please trim it to reduce to only about calculating wind load
We will consider this for the future, thanks for your feedback :)
