I wanted to correct something I misspoke in my vlog! I mentioned that Ruth was the great grandmother of David, but then proceeded to say Obed was David’s dad. I skipped a person. 🙈 Ruth and Boaz were the parents of Obed, Obed the father of Jesse, and Jesse the father of David. 😊

Hi Keisha. I noticed this a couple hours ago and read the Prologue. I’m hooked, and a little teary-eyed. I now love Tessa Afshar’s writing. I will be with friends when you go live today. Please know I will catch-up later in the week.
In the meantime, I wish you, and everyone else, a gentle Memorial Day. Please stay safe if you are in the path of the violent storms headed east this afternoon. Sending hugs and prayers of safety. I love all of you, Katie S.❤

This was fantastic. I like the book of Ruth and named my daughter after one of the characters. I haven't read In the Field of Grace, but it sounds awesome.

Ruth is one of my favorite woman of the bible and book in the bible. Thank you for doing this vlog! I learned a lot that I didn't know. I may need to get What the Bible is All About and the Commentary book to enhance my bible study. Right now I'm doing my bible study on the parables and I'm really enjoying my time with God in study. I've never read biblical fiction but you are really selling me on Tessa Afshar and In the Field of Grace in particular.

Thank you, Keisha. I wanted to wait until I could watch this with my entire heart. I’m so glad tonight was that time. What a blessing to have you teach me how to read various texts to get the most out of the Bible. I have nothing new to add. However, I am happy to say that I noticed how Boaz resembled Christ. But I did not get the redeemer part. Duh! It was right there in front of me. Thank you for reading the notes you wrote in your Bible. Now I have a better idea of how to study, take notes, and fill my soul with God.
As far as length goes and this style of video. I LOVED both things. I pray that your videos help others the way they helped me to learn. In my opinion, the length of this lesson/video was perfect. You had messages to share. Please always allow yourself time to say everything that you have learned. As far as I’m concerned, you gave me a seed and taught me how to plant it. Meaning, I will be able to study God’s word with more depth and love. Thank you sweet Keisha.❤

I love the idea of this kind of immersive study. I will have to look into the commentary book you used and try this with some of my biblical fiction.

I always see the kinsman redeemer as a type of Christ. You may have brought that out. I got distracted.

I go in detail at the end about Boaz and kinsman redeemers and their relationship to Jesus. That was my biggest draw from my study. 🥹💕
