Great way to show a more updated version of Mediterranean style that distunguishes itself from the 90s version

Some notes I took
1) arched windows/doorways
2) exposed beams
3) natural stone walls
4) tiled or hardwood floors
5) airy/breezy/less is more
6) use natural materials/finishes = wood, rattan, iron, cotton, linen, terra cotta etc
7) natural color palette ie white plaster walls
8) accent colors that reflect local nature (sea blue, sun yellow, etc)
9) design for family/hospitality, focus on common areas. Plentiful seating
10) focus on essentials/ keep clutter at bay
11) same flooring throughout to create cohesion
12) bare floors or natural material&color rugs
13) highlight existing architecture or consider adding character with wall niches, exposed beams, etc
14) rustic handcrafted decor accents ie ceramic bowls, baskets
15) create opportunity for outdoor living with French or sliding doors
16) mosaic tiles can add interest to walls/floor
17) try to make outdoor feel like seamless extension of indoor
