If you press the white button on the back of the camera in manual mode, the camera sets the correct shutter speed. The speed is also shown on the display;)
Do you know where I could buy the charger pack for this ? I recently just bought the camera at a thrift store and I can’t seem to find the charger online
On many Pentax film cameras, aperture priority wasn’t a formal mode on the body - you’d just control aperture with the lens aperture ring in combination with automatic shutter speed enabled on the body. This was true even on the high-end MZ-S and enthusiast MZ-5. The list of models that offered manual body-controlled aperture is somewhat short. I believe your camera’s slightly younger cousins PZ-20 and PZ-70 might have been one of the models that could manually specify aperture with lens in ‘A’ position with the body jog dial. They also had better in-viewfinder information. This PZ-10 seems to have been a bit more crippled than most which is as you mentioned a little odd for Pentax where most models offer at least aperture priority?
I got the Pentax Z50p wich is a little more advanced. It works perfectly fine but..the viewfinder is way too small. It is maybe the worst viewfinder i ever had on a SLR..it is tiny and dark. best regards :-)
Wow! Completely wrong about that extra button! It's not even a button. It's called 'release socket F' and it's for an electronic shutter release cable! 😂 Did you just totally make up a button and its function 😮😂

Is it black and white?
Will take colour, I just prefer using black and white as I can home develop it. Thank you for watching.
What film and developer did you use?
ID 11 diluted 1 to 1, film Kentmere 100, for 11.30. Thanks for watching.
@@beforedigital does this camera only shoot black n white?

I have this camera in my collection but I very rarely use it.

Pentax wanted to make everything simpler with the Z-10 but only managed to make everything more complicated really.

I was misinformed, thank you for your correction.
