I was in Form 3 in the then prestigious NYAHURURU HIGH SCHOOL in 1991. Then a packet of 2 kgs of UNGA went for Kshs 8/-, a bale ( 12 pcs ) set one back Kshs 90/- ( at the then whole price ). Famous bathing soaps, Rexona, cost Kshs 5/- , Lux Kshs 6/-. With 100/-, you could buy a 2 week shopping 🛒 !!!
Listening to this song outside Kenya reminds me how much I miss home. Despite her many problems caused by her children, Kenya is still our wonderful mother.
