Oh my gosh! This has to be one of my favorite thrift challenges yet! I am SO in love with all of the pieces! I was a little skeptical of the pink top when you held it up, but it is so gorgeous on! And that basket bag is beauuuuutiful. And you haven't picked up a striped piece in a while, I'm so proud 😂 You did such a wonderful job, Chloe, and I'm glad that you were safe when the tornado hit. I used to have a tan brown pattern pass my but in the late 90s. I loved it but I gave to my oldest sis since they have winters ...I'm currently living in Cali.

Great choices. Love the vintage bag. My summer go to are dresses, cami tops, lightweight button downs and shorts. I have a few skirts that are in patterns and colors that I also wear. Since I live in Florida dresses are my thing most of the year.

After viewing this episode & few others it is evident to my somewhat cultivated eye (innate ability & passion combined w/many yrs. exp in the field) that you really have an 'EYE'! Additionally, you value quality (fiber content, construction & etc...) It is so refreshing to find this diamond in the rough as I've exhaustively weeded through the plethora of let's just say vlogers who simply don't posses your prowess. Also, kudos for your succinct verbal skills/dialogue! The incessant prattling-on w/ most of the young TH-cam fashion/thrift vlogers is enough to make one ------. Perhaps it's just a lack of confidence on their part w/ causes them to belabor each and every point and or aspect of the outfit or garment. Either way it's torture for the viewer who's listening! "More content, less chatter wins the day" (imo)! You also add an air of sophistication in the outfits you curate without being too contrived and never pretentious! Just good taste which will always go the distance and stand the test of time! Final note; Keep cultivating your EYE & please open your own shop, I'll be among your first customers!

Hey girl. Great find on that bag. Reminded me of a bag I thrifted a few years ago that has a broken strap that I need to try to fix. I like it too much to get rid of it, but just need to find the right resources.
I also wanted to pop in and say a couple of things about the tornado. First of all, I’m glad you and your friends/fam were spared and that the community is really coming together. I’m a meteorologist and can’t stress enough how important it is to have multiple ways to receive tornado warnings, especially at night. Nocturnal tornadoes are more common in the Gulf Coast and Tennessee Valley than anywhere else in the world, particularly this time of year. Many are unaware that tornado sirens are only designed to be heard outside, so they will not wake people up, and the emergency alerts on phones are great, but what if a cell tower gets taken down or a phone goes through a software update in the middle of the night? NOAA weather radios are worth their weight in gold when it comes to life saving warnings getting out to the public, especially when people are sleeping. They’re fairly inexpensive and can be found on Amazon. Just wanted to throw this out there so you can let anyone you know for the future. Storm anxiety is something a lot of people grapple with, but can also find its way into the lives of those who were unbothered by storms before, but have since experience close calls or have their town/city affected.
Take it to your local shoe repair person, they do purses, belts & etc. all the time...
