Correction: This isn't a B-side; it's another title track :0 makes it even more surprising! Like we say, if you wish to see our reaction to the Performance Video (and we do get into more details about the theme, the lyrics and the dance) then head over to patreon.com/handsomesausages ! :D
That music and the choreography are so intense. I loved the fact that this song has an MV, and it's a beautiful MV, the ending is so emotional with all the girls protecting Lia
My absolute favorite song off their new album!!!! Definitely OST like and Lia as the lead singer fits that bill! It is a masterpiece melody and sound! This is the evolution of ITZY and I'd like to see more of this as they get older and more mature concepts.
Imaginary Friend doesn't remind me at all of Korean songs, but more international (Adele, Lana del Ray, Billie Eilish = the dramatic, sad =, thriller). As for the dance, it's not kpop either, just a contemporary dance that takes up Western codes. I've never seen contemporary dance in kpop.
Please watch and react to the RECORDING VIDEO of VAY, you'll see Changbin directing and at the end they have the m/v kinda vibe (recordung vid obv) after concluding the behinds 😁
It sounds quite like chinese song's style, for the song pattern. Sound slike some kind of Chinese drama ost, themed in historic war's forbidden love kinda theme, sounds sad but hopeful :')
What the frick that SES music video looked so familiar... did they do a song called Genesis (maybe) that involved them in like boxy-shaped racing cars and stirring giant bowls of ramen? And flowers with googly eyes and pasted on human singing mouths?
i get what you are saying, but i completly disagree with the interpretation. for me, it felt like a song that leaves you wanting more, but not incomplete at all. this song in itself suits an atypical organized song without the typical 3 chorus/ 1 bridge form. this is because It progresses quickly and leaves a strong impact. adding another chorus and a bridge would only lengthen that powerful impact, making it less impactful overall. it feels like they purposfully did that considering the first chorus itself came in super hot with the full orchestra instead of doing the usual ease in method into the first chorus and adding one more layer into the second chorus and then the last layer into the third chorus, which is the typical expected layout.

@@KaylaneYeon I'm glad I thought you didn't that's why I said to confirm so that this title track can get the same love as gold
it's not the girls protecting Lia...watch again, closely. it's the same pair of hands overlapping six times..
Its perfect for movie soundtrack
no fr
yeah, like an ending to a coming-of-age movie
Imaginary Friend 정말 좋은 노래입니다
서정적인 가사와 몽환적인 멜로디
안무는 극도로 섬세하고 세련되었습니다
ITZY는 올바른 길을 가고 있어요 : )
This is hands down, the best song, music video, performance video, and dance practice video of 2024. ITZY is absolutely incredible!

I love this song and MV. They are meaningful and poignant ❤️
Not a huge Itzy fan but easily my KPOP song, video & choreo of the year. Absolutely stunning in every way. 🥹❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
VAY and this song just made me a new itzy Stan
a mesmerizing voice, and a captivating melody
The atmosphere was amazing. And the dance breaks/build ups…gives me goosebumps! Heart wrenching and ghostly like Lana del ray’s music.

Honesty, this song reminds me Sunmi old songs

Shoutout to co-choreographer shin ryujin❤
Personally I feel their new songs are very new for them. They’re really good!
Itzy best❤
The music during dancebreak kinda reminds me of dr driving😂

At times this song reminds me of Julia from the Eurythmics. Mostly the tone in their voices.
I agree , this song is doesn't feel like kpop, remind me of the old billie eilish song.
CHECK 퍼플키스(PURPLE KISS) 'ON MY BIKE' MV
The drum pattern makes me remind of what i have done linkin park 😹
some songs i recommend to react to, gidle oh my god and super lady, jungkooks standing next to you, and natty’s (kiss of life) sugarcoat

It reminds me of Kate Bush Wurthering Heights
if you don't like this song... I don't know if you have any taste for music
song, as beautiful as it is, left me wanting for the bridge to conclude. now it's sounds like an unfinished thing
I agree but at the same time it feels more raw and mysterious???
There’s a dance break instead of Bridge . And remember ITZY is DALLA DALLA
