When I was a kid I idolized the typical surfers of the time and that would include Lynn and Margo… they charge just as hard as the guy’s and earned their respect in the line up!
LB was the SHIT!!! She was sooooo far ahead of the pack and her time at Sunset. Her lines out there are as relevant today as they were then. She threw down harder than most of the female pros today and she smoked most of the guys out there as well BITD. Such a legend and inspiration.
Lynne used to come out on good days at Kaisers, the ones when all da Kaiser Boys were out, and she'd rip. Late take-offs, tubes, speed, turns, you name it. At the time, I was jealous but over time I've of course realized that she was a real rippah. I hope life is going well for you, Lynne.
Lynn made a showing any Makaha. She had a little Bird Mahilona, and Buttons sway in her wave. Always admired her. I too had an Iggy shaped Lightning Bolt. Justin Miyahira inherited the board and went on to surf for Louis at Maui Tropix. Thank you Lynn.
OMG wow just found this and I love it !!! Keep it coming so many of us off island read about the people your talking with and wondered what happened to them keep em coming
AWESOME story. Thanks for sharing, a great documentary.
Lynne Boyer was a charger and my surf idol back in 1977.
I remember watching Lynne and Margo compete in the 70s on ABC’s Wide World of Sports. This was awesome…thanks for posting 😊

The best woman to ever surf big Sunset Beach. Lynne charged before there were cameras, GoPro, blanket sponsorship, IPhones and social media.
Yeah, she was gnarly out there. Her surfing then at Sunset was better than most of the female pros today. WAAAAAY ahead of her time.
True Pioneer.
Haven't heard Bradshaw in many years. Miss those carefree times ✌️🏖️
Awesome 💞☀️🌷🌹
