Please share details on getting the Google assistant to ask for a code to unlock the door by voice. I have the nest lock, I tried it and she told me that she can't unlock the door by voice.
For special use cases like a disabled person sure. But for myself the real benefits of such automation are tiny. I do very rarely change temperature, it takes no effort to hit the light switch as I walk into a room and how many visitors do I have per week? On the other side, you have to install a ton of technology, keep it up to date and secure and of course share some very personal data.

So there is a few things here. All those nest devices are stupid expensive. And for the cameras, the subscription is per security camera. Anyone who knows anything about having a disability knows it already is pretty expensive to live.
Also, the door bell thing doesn't work as described. He makes it should like the person doesn't have to press the doorbell for the speakers to announce it. But in reality they do. Which means if some postal service drops off some package, then you most likely will never know if they never touch the doorbell.
Not if you have your doorbell set to where you get notifications on your phone when it notices a person with in a zone that you set. You'll still know that some one is at your door even if they don't ring the doorbell

When he activated google, knowing it would activate mine, I didn’t realize how loud it was and it scared the living daylights out of me 😂😂.
set routines at multiple daytimes to readjust your google home smart speaker - this will reduce those events happening :D
I have some routines at the morning and sometimes listen to music at the evening - so I made those routines so I wouldn't wake up to my assistant SCREAMIN AT MY FACE: GOOOD MORNIG JOEL! ITS NINE OH CLOCK

I'm a hard core apple fan boy, but I absolutely love the Google Assistant! I have 4 Google Home Minis and 1 Google Home Hub in my house. Going to be replacing our kitchen Mini with the new Google Home Hub Max. Stupid excited! Thanks Google!
Also It sounds like I’m bragging but I’m really not, it took like 2 1/2 years to accumulate all this smart home stuff and I’m leasing my phone and iPad so honestly I’m not rich but... hey that’s what I choose to spend my income tax on 😂

I don't know how to feel about this demo.. I'm a fully functioning adult and I love my Google home and couldn't live without these features. I guess that makes me lazy 😂😂 I love Google. Far superior to Alexa
Nolan Collier google is cunning, but Alexa is still smarter if you want serious home automation. Alexa can do routines automatically based on your location, or based on motion detection. Everything with Google currently requires manual input.

While everything is ridiculously overpriced with Google and Nest products, the biggest concern is when Internet goes out because your ISP is having an outage, what then?
Google announced they are working on a program that will allow you to still use a version of the assistant running locally on the home/ nest devices to be able to control your smart devices with no internet
