Fabulous! I was at the Medieci fountain last October with my Dad on a beautiful day. Going back with my husband next month and staying in the Latin Quarter! This video is getting me excited to be back! Thank you!!!!
Merci beaucoup Corey French Frye. In 1962, I was a student living at the corner of rue Toullier and rue Soufflot. Your video brings back many fond memories.
Found the 1st one ! Yea! I watch the Chateau Diaries, Stephanie and MIchael, Love them -- NOW found you, Corey, am a fan and now have seen 3 of your vblogs. Thanks, these are awesome!
Rewatching your tours from the very beginning.... The thing I loved most about this one is your enthusiasm & love of Paris came beaming through!! I was so excited to stumble upon your live tour. I hadn’t been to Paris yet when I began to watch your tours but I was already in love with Paris. You brought Paris to me & I’m so grateful!! 🙏🏼
Glad to see these on TH-cam. My Saturday mornings are kind of jammed, so it's nice to be able to join your tours at my leisure. The Panthéon, for my money, is the most unattractive large building in Paris. Too sterile & antiseptic, with its monolithic, bare stone walls (both inside & out). St. Etienne du Mont, on the other hand, is a joy. The exterior is spectacular, and the inside, with its inverted arches in the nave, is an architectural marvel. It also holds a special attraction for pipe organ junkies like me. For 57 years, until his death in 1986, Maurice Duruflé, one of the great organ & choral composers of the 20th century, was (along with his wife) organist there. Paris, in the late-19th/early-to-mid 20th century, was Mecca for organists, both as composers and performers. César Franck at Ste. Clotilde in the 7th. Louis Vierne at Notre Dame. Charles-Marie Widor & Marcel Dupré at St. Sulpice. Saint-Saens at La Madeleine. They were aided in their efforts by an innovative pipe organ builder from Toulouse, Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, who made the organ a much more versatile and playable instrument. (There's actually a Parisian square named after him, in front of the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, near the Gare du Nord.)
a55b47 Hi there! Thanks for watching and thanks for this lovely comment. I’m not well-versed in the history of organists in Paris, but I do sense that it’s a rich one - as is evident in what you just explained! Thanks for that information and I’m glad you’re able to enjoy these replays.
Here's an excerpt from Duruflé's exquisite Requiem, recorded at St. Etienne du Mont about 10 years ago. (BTW, you can't tell from my nom-de-TH-cam, but I'm the guy who sent you the picture of me sitting in your seat in the Place des Vosges)
Yes! Midnight in Paris is my favorite movie. I think I may have walked by that spot one night totally lost, probably passed it more that once, LOL. Thank you for the joy 🌲
You’re welcome, thanks for watching! I remember the first time I recognized this staircase as I was walking by. It was pretty magical, and of course I was hoping for that old antique car to pull up and take me away. 😊
As I have yet to visit Paris, I’m really enjoying your vlogs, recommended to me by my friend Martin. Gardens must be beautiful in Spring! Can’t wait for things to get back to normal and we’re able to travel again.
Loving your videos, only discovered your channel very recently...my family & I live between three country's & have recently purchased property in Paris. Would love to connect with you further about the work you do & using your services. Thank you for providing such wonderful content, I don't personally use FB for privacy reasons (only my companies have FB pages) so I miss your live episodes but now starting to watch all your VLOGS from the start. Keep up the good work Sir French Fyre & all the best to your family.
The church that you were sitting on the steps in the beginning of the video, I thought it is open for visitor to explore inside. But been there twice this year and I cannot get in.
Maybe you went in during a holiday? I went on a Friday and it was open. The tour I went on was Paris Walks and the tour guide gave some history on the inside. St Genevieve's finger is on display.
Definitely go underground. You might lose the Facebook signal, but the recording is still there. Also, why when the camera is on you, the writing on the restaurants behind you is backwards?
I'm probably in a minority of one here, but I quite like the Montparnasse Tower. I feel much the same way about it as I do about the Pompidou Centre: as a one off it's great, but if every other building in Paris looked like it I'd be severely cheesed off.
It has to be said... Your image quality is all vintage TH-cam fuzzy. Is it your camera that's not up to HD 4k quality, or the lousy Wi-Fi connection... I love your voice and your tours. But you really need to sort out your image quality issues.
I have been watching for a while- now I am watching them from day one. yea!
Wow thrilled to hear that thanks so much!

Hiiiii Corey 🥰🥰🥰❤️💚💙💜
67 of us 😁
So, why did it take you almost a month to post this on TH-cam??? :)
No idea, can’t remember how that played out - chalk it up to bad brand management in the early days! 😂
@@afrenchfryeinparis Just listening to / watching videos while working, and this one came up. You are SO EXCITED!! :). But it's still fun!

Really do not care about your viewers, want to know more about PARIS!
You are good, but way too much personal pitter patter, plz stick to subject at hand, Ty.
