Great Lancia 037. It was one of my best building and upgrading RC. I made it 4x4 even if I'm temped to try 2WD rear as the original one.. Have nice time. Ciao, Nanni
Hi Nanni, great to read you my friend! Oh yes it's good to know that you enjoyed this RC kit too, I was tempted by making it 2WD but then thought better of it! All the best from Mark - ciao!
There is a lot of stuff going on in there but it looks like it goes together well! A very stout set of gears in there as well! I am looking forward to the rest of the build as I have not built one of these yet!
Hi Addam and sorry for the late reply! Yes, this is a fantastic kit and as usual, it all fits together beautifully. I know the gears on these TA02's are up to the job, I've been running one since 1996 and it's still going strong! I highly recommend it my friend!
@@MarkBryanRC not a problem at all Mark, I know life gets hectic! Take care and hope to see more.of it soon. I am way behind on video watching so if there has been an update I will get to it!
Great start to another mighty fine Tamiya kit Mark! Not guna lie, after a few ciders I was giggling like an immature school boy all the way through step 1- Shaft, screw, rod, nuts, balls, grease, thrust, nip...... how do you pull these videos off without laughing?!! 🤣 😂 I actually quite enjoy building a ball diff, and was very impressed that Tamiya had the generosity to supply spare balls, bonus! Glad to see you using bearings, and that nice upgraded Alluminium prop shaft looked spot on. Your getting quite a reputation for your build videos, I'm guessing you didn't miss the praise Pete gave you in his terra scorcher video today? They really are a great relaxing watch, and a strangely therapeutic way to relax after a long stressful day. Only problem is, it just makes me want to buy more rc's that previously weren't on the radar! Cheers mate. 😊 👍 👍 👍 👍
Thanks a ton, James! Haha, glad to hear that I made you chuckle, I clocked all the double entendres as they came off my lips and had a smile myself while doing it! Yeah the ball diff was a pleasure to do, once I'd figured out how it all went together. Much better than the ones with the plastic "nut" to hold it together. Yes I did thanks Pete for the comments in his latest video and there is a cheque on the way in the post to him!!! 😜 Glad you enjoyed this one mate, and I know what you mean about adding to the Tamiya "I want" list! Cheers, buddy! 🙏😉👍
@@MarkBryanRC Lol.... I could almost see you smiling, and could sense in your voice the effort that you were putting in to try and avoid laughing mate! Hopefully Petes cheque won't bounce as badly as that poor terra scorcher did in that bunker!! 🤣 😂 Noticing strong rally based content from you, Rob and Craig in all your recent videos..... are we likely to get a rally collaboration /meet up in the not too distant future mate? 🤔 👍 👍 👍 👍
You are spot on James! I edited out the odd snigger! Yep about the rally content, Dom has new stuff in the pipeline, too. We are planning a rally festival in the near future, watch this space, mate! :))
Thanks Steve. Yeah, the diff is much better than those Tamiya diffs with the thrust bearing and the plastic nut!!! Those damn screw pins, though, I hate 'em!!! 🤣👍
Hi there my awesome build buddy 😊. Some great steps indeed, I like the differential, certainly more detailed than the geared differentials. Not had the pleasure of building the ball differentials on an RC. Maybe when I older 😂😊. A great start, best wishes to you and the family 😊
Thanks a ton my awesome build buddy! Sorry for the late reply but I've been snowed under! Anyway, yep, this is a great ball diff, much better than the ones in the TD4! Far stronger and made of good components. Haaha, yes you need to build one before you are a pensioner like me!!! 🤣 Thanks again and all the best as always! 😎👌👍
Hiya mate. I enjoyed watching you putting the balls in. Some like it and some don't 😁 Oh and wiggling it about to get it in 😂 Anyway looks like quite a high spec kit this. I enjoyed the mellow classical music in the background. Another example of the master at work with a build video. Good stuff and best wishes to you my friend 😁👍
Hi Pete, glad you enjoyed the ball action! And the wiggling! 😜 Yep, it's all top-notch apart from only coming with plastic bushings. It's coming together nicely and is an enjoyable build. I wasn't sure about the choice of music so great to hear that you approve. You are too kind, mate, but thanks for the praise anyway, it certainly is appreciated. Hope your weekend has started well, catch you later my friend! 🙏😎👍
Ohhh yes! You have such terrific build guides. I have several kits waiting for me, and I look forward to checking out how this model you have turns out! Cheers mate!
Hiya mate! You are too kind my friend! Always good to have a few kits lined up, this is the only new one I have so I'll make the most of it! Cheers dude! 🍻
Nice to follow as always, Mark! This one was strangely familiar to me, it took me a while to realise, the rear gearbox is pretty much the same as on the Top Force. One thing that I noticed is the smaller gear on the spur is plastic, not the horrible soft aluminium that I'm used to. So probably they included the high speed spur in your kit (can't remember the tooth count), probably to compensate for the smaller wheels. Anyway, with a Sport Tuned, that thing will fly! Have a great weekend there, my friend!
Hi Mads and thanks for the great comment as always! Ah, yes, the Top Force! Never built one myself but the rear gearbox does look similar. The spur on my TA01 was the same as yours with the aluminium gear. But I think Tamiya have updated it to this all plastic one - I got a replacement for my TA01 and it was also all plastic. No, this is the stock gearing and it just has the biggest pinion to cater for the small wheels. Yes, this should be fast enough for me with that Sport Tuned motor! I see you have updated your channel name - very cool! Best to you my friend and happy Sunday!
Hi and many thanks for that! Yeah I have broken 2 of those plastic mounts in the past but I'm finding it difficult to find a metal one at the moment. Fingers crossed 🤞 I can find one at a reasonable price! Cheers! 😎👌👍
Hi Trevor and glad to hear you've been looking forward to this! The prop shaft is from GPM Racing Products, but I've had it a few years now as I bought it for my TA01 and it didn't fit! Luckily it does fit the TA02S! Cheers!
Your balls are way smaller than mine mate😂🤣 Great stuff dude. Not seen a ball diff like that before. Looking forward to metal bag B. see you later matey.
Hi Mark are the grey gearbox's exactly the same as the red ones except for the colour. I'm converting a red gearbox one to a SW but my wheelbase as about 3mm out.
Hi Alan, I just checked my original TA01 against the SW Lancia, and visually, yes the red and grey gearboxes look exactly the same size. Good luck with the conversion. 😎👍
Oh yes it would be much more true to life if you made it RWD. Trouble is, I've tried that on other 4WD chassis (tt02 and MF01X) and they were virtually undrivable! 😎👌👍
Great start with the build Mark. Looking for more videos about this car.
Thanks a ton, Dirk! Not to worry, I'll be making plenty of this car in the future! 👍

Many thanks Thad! You are lucky, ball diffs are a right pain! 🤣👌👍
Another fun build! This is an awesome kit. One of the coolest looking Tamiya hardbodies and livery too. Thanks for sharing.👍😊
Thanks Sean, yes it's a fun build indeed! Just hope I can do it justice, 🙏 my friend! Thanks for watching! 😀👍
Oh wow. I would LOVE to build that kit. Love the 037. ❤😊

Hi Col, glad I got this uploaded in time for you! Hope you enjoy the build as much as I have! Cheers! 😎👌👍
@@MarkBryanRC yeah should be good.
Nice work, the diff looks nice,👍👍 I do the same with those pins just super barely coated with oil or grease just to stop the rust.

Great work as always Mark! Those ball diffs are always a faff aren’t they! That sport tuned is going to fly 🚀
Cheers my mate 👍 oh yes, and I thought this ball diff was the same as the ones in the TD4, but it ain't 😅 Faff indeed!
Thanks for your upload mate 👍🙏🐈
Thanks for the visit as always my friend! 🙏😎👍
(I was listening to this on headphones and just noticed the background music. Lovely and very unobtrusive).

Great video top job I would use the ta01 metal motor it's a lot better than the plastic one mark

@Mark Bryan RC no worries Mark I need to buy another one to mate for my manta ray got fitted to my top force 👍
Cool! Love this car!
Me too! Thanks Freddy!

Thank you so much!! Much appreciated here! 🙏👌👍
perfect job champ😍

Been looking forward to this build as I am just starting mine Mark, can you tell me which prop shaft you have used please?

Quite a satisfying gear box build mate . Did u get metal prop shaft holders ? I only got plastic 🤔 certainly looks alot cleaner then mine 😂all new 👍
Hi Dom 👋 oh yeah very satisfying indeed! No mate, I've got a GPM Racing alloy propshaft! Hope it fits OK 👍
@@MarkBryanRC let me know mate and I’ll see about replacing mine 👍

All my ta02 have red bits. I really prefer the all black. Get job.
Cheers, Paul. Yeah my old TA01 has the red bits as well. The TA02s has a nice, toned down look with the black and metallic grey parts! 😎👍
I think If I built this car ide not hook up the front drive for more realistic running as the real car was rear wheel drive
