will take us about two slow weeks, was two Japanese pines as well as 1 single other , the fir are about 57 years and a big one is about 24 inches, then some down hill pulling in next block but will have up to 200metres of dead ground from ground based
that's a nice lookin machine pard, you say valmet was the make right? I know they're all good in their own right, but how do you like that satco vs waratah or log max and the ones you see most often? I've never ran any of them but always curios what guys think and why, I haven't a preference just enjoy learning the what everyone's opinions just like cat, John Deere, kobelco, doosan, tigercat, link belt argument lol
Thanks man, as far as the valmet goes, its got twin slew motors and heavy built boom, will fell and shovel well, it really should be on a hillside as a fellerbuncher, the satco head from what I'm told is made as a fell and delimb, but has a measuring option which makes it a processing head as well. the satco head is pretty good in hairy stems, measuring is alright as well, I've only ran a log max 7000xt and waratah 624C in comparison and thats like comparing apples to oranges, because of size differences. I look at is as, there must be a reason so many loggers are using waratah. south star seems to put out a good head as well. cheers
