- Just had the Mastercraft Courser HXT installed after looking at many different brands. This is a first impression review after picking the truck up, and I'll do another updated review after I do some hauling and get some miles on them.
Thanks for the initial review...been looking at these tires. Good lookin Ford!
Thanks, so far they are great. They handle really well!
Follow up coming soon!
Made by Cooper
Walmart carries Douglas tires, but I hear they're thinking of changing the name to Dexter : D
BEAUTIFUL TIRE. I THINK THEY ARE MADE BY COOPER. THE SOLID OUTER RIB ALSO ASSISTS IN STRAIGHT LINE TRACKING. TREAD IS ALMOST IDENTICAL TO A COMMERCIAL CLASS 8 TRUCK/TRACTOR DRIVE POSITION TIRE. I HAVE A 8,800 LB. (EMPTY WT.) 34' TRAVEL TRAILER. IT HAS ST225/75R-15 (8 PLY, D-LOAD RANGE 2540 LB RATED) TIRES. I AM UPGRADING TO A 16" WHEEL WITH MASTERCRAFT HXT 235/65R-16C (10 PLY, E LOAD RANGE 3195 LB RATED) TIRES. THE "C" IS FOR A COMMERCIAL TIRE RATING. BOTH SIZES ARE 28.2" OVERALL DIAMETER. THANKS FOR SHARING THE VIDEO.
I'll be updating soon, been towing heavy with them mostly!

ummm.... the 'C' is for load range... NOT for 'commercial'.....
@@seymourscagnetti1413 ...and I stand corrected...
@@russdavis1960 No worries Sir. I too had no idea this type of tire existed. I found this type and size tire while searching for an alternative to the typical "ST" or "special trailer" replacement trailer tire. A lot of guys are switching to "LT" or light truck tires to replace their RV trailer tires because most "ST" replacement trailer tires are made in china and are dangerous (they explode). There is a heavy duty "ST225/75R-15 (F) LOAD RANGE" tire that matches my stock RV wheel diameter of 15" and overall tire diameter of 28.3". The recommended air pressure for this tire is 110 psi. The max air pressure for the stock wheel/rim is: 80 psi. Could this be a dangerous combination? Would tire installers catch this and refuse to mount the tires? Any thoughts?
Is a made by cooper tires
Seems like I made the right choice.
How about that update?!?!?
Coming soon!
@@thecovelife5793 were they any good? Especially in rain and snow ?
@@sebastianibarra2784 they wore fast considering I mostly towed with them. They wore just ok in my book. I wouldn'tt want them in snow.
@@thecovelife5793did they wear fast enough that you wouldn't recommend or purchase again?
@@MrTurtlekid434 I would most likely go for a better tire. A little extra money goes a long way. For road travel you cant beat Michelin LTX.
