I’m so excited for the moonlight sorcery album. There last two have been awesome
As an ”insider” in the Finnish death metal scene, I never would’ve thought that Disguised Malignance would get this much recognision from far abroad. I’ve been waiting for this album for almost a year now
shit im in florida which most people have always looked at as the death metal capital but from someone that actually lives here i gotta say you guys got us beat by miles. so much killer shit from finland right now

Disguised Malignance sounds a lot like that other young Finnish band Cryptic Hatred. Keep 'm coming, Finland!
Other interesting releases this month for those who prefer death-doom: Fossilization - Leprous Daylight (on Everlasting Spew) + Thorn - Evergloom (on Transcending Obscurity)

I didn't know the band Moonlight Sorcery. The "In coldest embrace" song is EPIC and also "The Moonlit Dance of the Twisted Jester's Blood-soaked Rituals" (great guitar solo).
Know that Blayne is not big on Prog, but how can he not mention Soen releasing a new album today. One of the best prog bands out there today

Lots of bands get put in brackets they really don't belong to, I don't class Tool as prog either, I bloody love em saw them earlier in the year at the 02 arena in London, jaw dropping

Moonlight Sorcery's next album and Fortid's next album in october are probably my most anticipated albums for the remainder of this year. Other big releases launching later this year: Primordial - How it ends, Wayfarer - American Gothic, Shining - Shining and Myrkur - Spine. There are always some surprise releases though.
Kerrigan's Bloodmoon is my top album of 2023

SLOMATICS! so hyped for this release. my jaw is clenching already.
The new Svartkonst album is also amazing
Wormhole is putting out a new record on 9/22, and the singles they’ve put out have been absolutely killer. The vibes are very Disentomb, definitely check it out if you like brutal death metal with dissonance.

And Archgoat and Blood Chalice (i consider them Bestial/War metal)

This is definitely huge month for releases. Really looking for Terminalist, their last albu mwas incredible! I also want to shout out Ice Giant: Ghost of Humanity out next week, and from this week I have to shout out the debut album from Outergods: A Kingdom Built upon the Wreckage of Heaven.

The singer drums for a different band named Ride for Revenge which features a former member of (and did a split with) the known Nazi black metal band Goatmoon. The guy who did the RfR logo is also a Nazi metal musician. Seems like too much association to be a coincidence and, in my frank opinion, if you're one person not only tolerating but making personal business dealings with two nazis, I see three nazis.

The Moth - Frost, my album of the year so far🙂🎉🎉🎉. Everything is perfect on this album. The dark bass in the background, the catchy but dark riffing, an eerie mid pitched vocal. This album positiones itself among the classics. This band could very much be the next big thing like Nirvana or Type O Negative, if they are lucky with the timing and manages to find a way to the masses. And I rate this album ALMOST on par with Bloody Kisses, yes, it's that good.
