    If you enter amazon through my link amzn.to/3lhFqKz I get paid a small percentage of whatever you spend there. It doesn't cost you any more and I don't know what you've bought. Many thanks to those that do use my link. Its greatly appreciated.

    I did these set-ups for 32 years. It's a lot of work, but so satisfying when the homeowner inspects everything and finds nothing wrong/out-of-place. Never had an accident and never damaged a home. Doing set-ups is a job for the young. I'm 74 now and am proud of the hundreds of homes I worked on.

      It depends on the size of the home, and if you are working alone or with 2/3 others. Alone, a singlewide would take me about 1 1/2 days complete with tiedowns. With another worker, a day. Alone a doublewide would take me 3 days complete. With another worker, 2 days. It also depends on your knowledge of how to/what to do a good setup. Might be good to hire-onto a setup crew for a few months to get the knowledge. There IS a sequence to follow. @@jaronmitchell6784

  • @barnacles62
    @barnacles62 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I love their theory of how they leave the one side lower, makes sense. I have seen a lot of double wide's with huge gaps at the marriage lines. Some just make them even top and bottom, claiming they can have a 11/2 gap and its ok. I don't want any gap between the walls, I don't see how that can be structurally sound. I hope you are having good luck with your home, and enjoying it....

    Hey BC, awesome looking "cottage" there, happy days! Lot of patience ahead for the little stuff they'll need to address. Ours just set about 2 months ago, and not one door inside or out was without issues. Lot of dust too. We suspect the house is flexing slightly as it settles a smidge and that is why doors are wonky - driving my hubs crazy. Our first MH also. Almost at our 90 days - that is when the list is submitted with all the "issues" and one visit is made to supposedly fix everything. We shall see. It's a process for sure. That molding near the floor looks familiar, we have a few of those places. Love that island and kitchen. Hope it all comes together real soon and y'all are moving in!

    I will stop life to "find out" or learn something. This is one of those times as I searched how to level my coach I recently purchased and now live in. Never have ventured into living or owning one and it appears mine has settled since it was installed in 1992. Water leakimng from the master shower to the ground below has caused my situation. Now it's time to get it done.

      They are set on concrete runner that run the length of the house. They are tied down the the concrete. They are more susceptible to wind damage than any other home would be.

    Very exciting! We are at the beginning stages! We’ve just purchased the land and our Clayton home is beginning to be built at the factory. Can’t wait until delivery day! How long from the delivery to when you actually got the keys to walk in?

    Do you have to put in a septic tank and water line? We put in a few Modulars homes like that back in the day, but they had the push up roofs then...Looking good..

    He did everything right with strapping it down other than when he cut the strap he left that little end and it causes the strap to not wrap the split bolt properly and I’m not sure about then but in today’s industry that would fail inspection

    Is it better to pour a slab? If you just use dirt won’t it move and not be stable long term?

      This is sitting on concrete runner 18 inches wide and two feet deep. It’s not sitting on dirt.

    Thank you for this video, me and husband planning to purchase mobile home too but many things doesn't know yet so can I ask you couple questions?
    - did you finance the home? If yes which bank?
    - can we put mobile home in private property? If yes than is there any restrictions?
    - when you do finance does home install also cover from finance?
    - if my private property is middle of house is it hard to bring electricity, water and drain pipes? And will be the cost?
    If you answer these questions it will be huge help for me and people who are planning to purchase mobile home!

    • @bctruck
      @bctruck  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can’t answer all your questions because I payed cash for my home, getting it set up and my property. There were utilities already on sight. There were no restrictions where I bought my land but you would want to check with the county where you buy land to be sure there won’t be restrictions against mobile homes.

    We are thinking about buying our own DW trailer. How do you like your new home? Is everything holding up to par? Did they fix the little things that needed fixing? I would love to see an update video. If there is I'll be searching for it.

      Very happy with every step it took to get, get it set up properly, fix the little things. Its a great little home and we are very happy to have it. We sold our very large brick home to downsize and so far, we have no regretted it.

    I have watched your videos frome when you were shopping for a home and all, my wife and i just bought a Clayton home ,the farm house breeze doublewide....so i wondering how satisfied you are so far....anything specific i should look for during or after set up?
    Thank you,

      My advice is to make a note of every little detail that you arent happy with. We had some sheetrock crack and a few minor things and they sent someone out and fixed every single thing. We've had it 6 months now and are very happy with our purchase. I wouldnt change a thing.

    we're in the middle of purchasing a double wide and there is a crack on the ceiling that they are claiming to be from joining the houses. is there anyway to tell whether it is that or something else?

    • @bctruck
      @bctruck  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That sounds like a perfectly reasonable explanation. It will all look great once the final guys come in and do the touch ups.

    I don't know if you are in a area where you get snow but if you are did they put heat tape or something around the water pipes coming from the ground to make sure your pipes don't freeze in the winter?
