If your deployed, why would you take the asvab when you got home? The asvab is required before you get into the military to see what job(s) you qualify for. Just curious.
This was awesome ! I had a hard to on the arithmetic reasoning portion of the asvab . I guess taking 4 years off from looking at a single math problem took a toll. This helped a lot !
Great lesson !! Another way for who’s ever interested, when you put the equation together instead of multiplying 706-9%(706), you can just multiply by the percent you receive back. If you get 9% off, then you keep 91% so it could also be (706(0.91)-55)/3. Just some intuitive manipulation.
The way you beautifully dissected the problem and analyzed each part just blew my mind. I would always suck at these in school and overthink them, but now listening a few times to you explain it really changed my perception. Thank you for doing these and keep it up. Always good to see a black man doing something positive and different.

At 11:45 I had trouble understanding the mental math breakdown you were trying to showcase. I'm not the best at subtracting large digits in my head so, that's probably the reason. Maybe I'm just over thinking it though.
Do you have anything on long division, it may seem insignificant but we always used calculators in class so now i cant do it mentally. Also for dividing fractions and common denominators with a fraction as an answer?
For long division, it can help if you think of the numbers differently. If the number is large, try thinking of just one number at a time. For dividing fractions, the denominators being the same or different doesn’t matter at all. There’s more than one way to divide fractions so just use the way that is best for you and apply that method no matter if the denominators are the same or different.
I still have to hit the books and practice but the way you're explaining it makes sense thank you so much I have my ASVAB test on Monday my MK,WK,PC were all averaged about 50 although they were a bit higher but the AR threw me off the word problems setting up equations and the reasoning tripped me up I was always decent at solving tell me to solve for x I can give me a problem without words I can usually find the solution fast it was once AR happened it showed me my foundation is a little rusty and I'm literally freaking out because they have a the job I want on hold problem is everyone wants to be a medic

You wrote 3/587.46 but it’s supposed to be 587.46. I’m sure you just typed it wrong but I want to make sure that you’re aware that they are not the same thing. Long dividing is just four steps and you do them over and over again until you finish the problem. Step 1: divide Step 2: multiply Step 3: subtract Step 4: bring down next number If you’re not done with the problem yet, start with step 1 again.

Was the real asvab easier than what Anderson teaches how much time are u given to finish

The 1 is because that’s how many times 3 goes into 5. The 9 is because that’s how many times 3 goes into 28. The 5 is because that’s how many times 3 goes into 17 Etc…
