I ordered my rtx gauges for my 68 charger 20 weeks ago, they came in this Friday... And they were going 20km from you Rich to my house. Glad to see more clusters are making it out!
Buddy in California has a brother in law with an old muscle car that he put a Dakota dash in last summer and said it sure nice to know all the different readings that the old clusters didn't have unless you got it stock and especially at night how much more light you have to read gauges and how much easier it is on our eyes which is safer in its own way, any of us in the boomer age group know how poor the old gauge lighting was, the thing he liked about it most was not only ease of install , the one was the new wring loom no worries of old wires with insulation falling off and possibly giving you a fire hazard and say good bye to new cruiser, definitely hats off to Dakota Digital for their awesome quality great video look forward to the fire up in the next video 👍
Super pumped to see more GTO content! I just refurbished the dash in my '66 GTO. And while I'm generally not a fan of aftermarket gauge clusters in classic cars, this piece from Dakota Digital does look very good. Pricey little bugger, though!

I've been eyeballing Dakota Digitals VHX cluster for the F100. It's not as pretty but for half the cost of the RTX I can deal. I've only heard good thing about their stuff.

yo i have been looking at the gto series ever since i came to the channel with the old tahoe 4bt and maaaaaaan it has come a reaaaally long way even after the first "its done" but honestly this is why im partial to old cars, if you want a numbers matching resto for show its ok but spend any kind of mayor time in it and it will need modern age comfort.
2000 hours, average build of a muscle car is 1000 hours. That's crazy...you had to of added many many new upgrades to get to those many hours, that's for sure. Regardless that is one nice looking car, love the color and normally i've never been a fan of the color green..
I might be the only guy in the world that feels this way, but the screens in the gauges absolutely kill them for me. I was just looking at their setup or Foxbodies, and their 5.0 Resto version that setup is almost perfect, except they've also got the screens. I know they're digital gauges, but I just wish they wouldn't scream it at me. Bluetooth setup and no screens would be my choice if they happen to be listening... Otherwise that's a slick product at a decent price vs. having your stock gauges restored.
Painless wire? I don't think so. I called their customer service talking head about finding extensive corrosion under the insulation. I was blown off and treated like it was my fault and I was s dumb ass. The local dealer where I bought the wire kit is not a PP dealer, now. They had similar complaints from other customers. I may have to rewire my car. I am not pleased. I am 77 years old and I should be driving this project. I have developed health issues and I may not live long enough to see the end of this build. Next time I will use American Auto Wire or Ron Francis.

The A/C control is available in different colours via custom order. So once I have a colour I can't change it.

You have the dash control box stuck behind the gauges, how to you access the box if necessary without taking off the gauges?
You can still access the backside of the gauges from underneath when everything is installed.
