Between 6 to 7 qt, i normally buy 2 jugs from amazon of AcDelco Dex VI. its cheaper then the dealer. Start with 5, let the car idle in park and come up to temp then check the dip stick and fill until full. Drive for about 10 miles, check for leaks and check level again.

I tried it the same way you did, it didn't leak till later.
Check your torque, can’t be too tight or too lose. And must use the hybrid gasket, not rubber or cork.

You can check with the dealer or AutoZone to get a drop pan about of fluid. I normally do 8 qt depending if I have a cooler.

I guess a torque wrench wasn't needed
